I have a few questions about Events Tickets Pro.

Can the tickets have multiple pricing for adults and children?
Can the tickets have a discount price before a set date? For example during November sell for £10, December £15 then January onwards £20?
Will tickets be automatically issued and emailed after payment has been made?
Can a booking fee be added?
Can payment go to two locations? such as ticket cost to the event organizer and fee to the promoter?
Is an app available for marking as checked in?
What happens if a ticket is marked as checked in and is tried to be used again?

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

Can the tickets have multiple pricing for adults and children?

Each ticket can only have one price, but you could always create separate “Adult” and “Child” tickets. If you are using WooCommerce to handle checkout, you could also create a coupon code to offer a discount for a child ticket.

Can the tickets have a discount price before a set date? For example during November sell for £10, December £15 then January onwards £20?

There is not currently any out-of-the box functionality to change the price after a certain date, but you could use coupons here as well to offer a discount during certain times. I’d recommend taking a look at this article for more information on how coupons work.

Will tickets be automatically issued and emailed after payment has been made?

One the order has been completed, yes the tickets will be created automatically and emailed to the purchaser.

Can a booking fee be added?

If you use WooCommerce, tickets will essentially be WooCommerce simple products, so you could use a tax class or a third-party plugin such as this one to add the fee. If you are using Community Tickets (an extension of Community Events that allows event organizers to create and sell tickets from the front end of your site), then there is an option to add a fee. This article has some more details on how payments work with Community Tickets.

Can payment go to two locations? such as ticket cost to the event organizer and fee to the promoter?

With Community Tickets, yes – it comes with a split payments feature. With Event Tickets Plus, there is currently no option to divide up payments – all payments will go directly to the site admin.

Is an app available for marking as checked in?

Event Tickets Plus comes with the ability to check-in attendees – this article has some more details on the check-in process and other features to manage your attendee list.

What happens if a ticket is marked as checked in and is tried to be used again?

Once a ticket has been checked-in, that ticket cannot be checked-in again. However, you can uncheck-in an attendee from the admin section, in which case that ticket will can be rechecked-in.

We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to take Event Tickets Plus and Community Tickets for a test run! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
