    Hi Matt!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with that.

What do you mean exactly by “Events Calendar Pro but it is not showing up”? Were you able to install Events Calendar Pro and activate it, but then the pro functionalities don’t work?

You don’t necessarily need to input the license in the settings to make it work. Activating the license by pasting it under Events > Settings > License tab will only give you automated updates for the plugin.

How do add we add the advanced widgets?

Once the Events Calendar Pro is installed and activated, the advanced widgets will be available in Appearance > Widgets. You can learn more about this in the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/events-calendar-widgets/

In addition, you can also place the advanced widgets inside a page or post content by using one of the available shortcodes > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

Does this help? Let me know how it goes. 🙂

    Best,
    Victor

    Thanks for the quick reply!!
Here are two screen shots showing that we have Calendar Pro activated but no widgets. 🙁
We REALLY need the widgets ASAP for a project.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Phyllis!

I’m sorry you are having this issue 🙁 Let me try to help you troubleshoot that.

From your widgets screenshot it seems the page does not fully load, so as a first step, please enable wp_debug mode by adding the following lines of code to your wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true );

After this, do you see any errors showing in the widgets page? If so, please let us know about them.

If there are no errors showing, this could be a plugin or theme conflict, so could you please go through the complete steps in the testing for conflicts guide and see what you find in the process? > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Also, when coming back, could you please share with us your system info by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks,
    Victor

You are correct I tried on another one of our wordpress sites with a different theme and plugins and it works. So it is a conflict. What is the best way to find the conflict?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt!

Thanks for coming back with all the system information.

I don’t see anything unusual in your sys info, so let me help you troubleshoot that.

First, did you enable WP_DEBUG and see if any errors show up in the widgets page? If there is an error showing, then it will tell us exactly where it is, so please let us know about it.

If we can’t spot the error doing the above, then you’ll need to go through the testing for conflict guide and see what you can find in that process.

Do you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?

If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting.

    Let us know about that.

    Thanks,
    Victor

The plugin that was the problem was the Envira Gallery addons.
Thanks SO MUCH for the help!!!

Right on Matt! I’m so glad to hear you could solve the problem and I appreciate you following up to let us know.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread now, but feel free to open a new one if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Victor
