Event Aggregator Still Not Importing Properly

I’ve updated to the most recent version of Event Aggregator and events still aren’t importing. I deleted ALL scheduled imports and restarted them, now with the update they actually appear to be trying to import as they all say “Import Pending” and they weren’t getting that far before the recent update, but no events are being imported.

Thank you for your patience and for sharing the details about this issue you are experiencing!

Since the problem evolved/changed a little bit after our latest release and you recreated/modified your events since the last time you sent us your database (aprox. one month ago), could you please (if it’s not too much trouble), create a new copy of your database and send it to us via private reply? It would certainly help us to reproduce the exact problem you are experiencing at this moment and might give us a jump start on investigating this.

In the meantime, I’ll contact the developer who is actively working to solve this problem: he may have some thoughts about our next steps.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with the larger issue of not auto importing, but since I’ve only been able to do one-time imports I’ve starting getting an error message that the Google Maps API daily limit has been reached. This happens randomly but starts typically after say the second or third import so I’m pretty sure I haven’t actually reached any limit. This is the message I’m getting:

“The latitude and longitude for your venue could not be fetched. The Google Maps API daily query limit has been reached!”

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that you are having this problem with Google Maps API. This specific issue affects sites that reached their Google Maps API usage limit.

Can you please make sure that you have a Google Map API key enabled in your site?

If your API key is already in place and the issue persists, can you please let us know if your site is hosted in a shared server? I’m asking this because a given web server IP address can only make 20k requests/day and if you are in a shared server this limit is easily reached.

If you have only a few venues and your site is hosted in a shared server, this is probably the cause of the issue you are experiencing.

Just updated to the newest version of the plugin and restarted all my imports again – they worked ONCE but won’t run again since the first time, now they just all say “import pending” and no new events are coming in. This has been going on since I was forced to upgrade from the old working plugin in July! Can you please assure me that someone really is working on this problem? My license expires at the end of this month and I’m loathe to renew when it hasn’t worked properly in FOUR MONTHS!
