GuestHello, I’m thinking about buying some pro services for my website that will serve as a community-powered volunteer calendar. Initially, I don’t expect a lot of organizations to join my website. However, I would still want to enter a community service event on their behalf. For example, if I know my local blood bank is having a blood drive, I would like to enter in any event details, and if someone clicks on the “Organizer” link on the event, it would take them to a profile for the blood bank and not for me. Also, if they do decide to join my platform later on, I would like for them to be able to take over and enter in events themselves. Is this possible?

KeymasterHi Taylor,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
It sounds like you have a couple of options here. If you are alright with giving other users access to your site, you could stick with The Events Calendar and set up accounts for them so that they are able to create events from the backend. Event Tickets will allow you to create RSVPs (free) on events so that volunteers can register for events. If you need to sell any tickets or do things like add custom fields to collect additional information from users when they register, you’ll want to go with Event Tickets Plus.
Another option would be Community Events, which will allow users to submit events on the front end and gives you some control over that process, such as the ability to approve and edit events after they are submitted and setting default values for the form, such as an organizer. With this option, you would still be able to create events yourself on the back end and set any organizer details that you would like (you would not have to be the organizer). There is also a setting to require users to be logged in to submit events (however, they don’t need to have admin access). If you’d like your users to be able to create and sell tickets for their events, Community Tickets will let you do that.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you think one of these options might work for you, feel free to try it out!
I hope helps! If you have any other questions, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jennifer
