ParticipantHello,
For reference, I had created a topic here before this forum had officially been created: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-time-not-importing-correctly-for-ical-import-events-aggregator/
I have installed the latest release of TEC and I’m still seeing duplicate events being created on each import. I saw in the release notes that a fix had been released for duplicate Facebook events, but my issue relates to an iCal feed being generated from what appears to be an Outlook calendar. See my link above for reference.
I’m also seeing that the times are not even close after they are imported. Time ranges that are supposed to be 9AM-3PM are instead being shown as a set time: 2:00PM, not even showing as a range.

ModeratorHi and welcome back,
Sorry to hear about the issues and thank you for being thorough with your initial. Before I attempt to recreate the behavior myself, I’ll need you to please review our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with your findings.
Thanks again and I look forward to resolving the duplicate events and incorrect start times. Cheers!

ParticipantHi Hunter,
I have followed the instructions you linked to and tested with all plugins deactivated (Except for TEC), and using the default twentysixteen theme.
I am still seeing the incorrect times imported. It’s too early to tell if the duplication issue is also still present, as I need to wait for the auto-import to run tomorrow.

ModeratorHello,
Sorry to hear things haven’t gotten better. Also, thank you for sending over the results. Can you reply back with the iCAl URL you’re having troubles with and I’ll try and reproduce the behavior?
Thank you and have a great rest of the weekend. Cheers!

Thank you for your help with this. Here is the iCal URL that I’m pulling from: webcal://connect.esu9.org/Workshops/iCalendarSubscribe.aspx

ModeratorHello,
Thank you for sending that URL over. I finally located a few bug reports resembling the issues you’re experiencing, so I’ve linked this thread to the reports for the developers to review while making improvements. There is recent activity on the bug report regarding duplicate events, but I cannot give you a concrete date on when it will be available.
We also ask you not open new threads about the same topic in the future. As András mentioned:
I am going to close this ticket to new replies, but the issue is still open and we will update this ticket once we release a fix.
Thank you for understanding and please feel free to open a new thread if you have any issues other than the incorrect times and duplicate events. Have a great rest of your week and please keep an eye on your WordPress admin dashboard and our Release Notes for more info. Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
