GuestHello,
This plugin seems to be what I am looking for but I have a few questions on how it would work with what I am trying to build.
1. do I need to purchase events calendar pro in order for the community events plugin to work?
2. is it possible to show just events that a specific user has created? I am using Users Ultra, I would be able to add the events viewer into their profiles, but for each individual profile I would like to show just the events they have created. is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Daniel

MemberHowdy Daniel,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m really glad to see you’re checking out Community Events and I hope it’s a solid fit for your site.
There’s totally no need to purchase Events Calendar PRO in addition to Community Events. Community Events will work with or without PRO installed, so defintely save yourself a few bucks. 🙂
Community Events does indeed have a way for folks to see only the events they have submitted to the calendar. In fact, there is a “My Events” link at the top of the submission form that, when clicked, displays those events for the user.
I have to be honest and say that i am unsure whether that will integrate smoothly with Users Ultra. However, we do offer a full refund on all our products within 30 days of purchase, so that should give you a good chance to use the plugins together to see if they work together the way you hope.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know!
Cheers,

GuestThanks Geoff,
good to hear I can test it with my current set up and get a refund if needs be, lets hope it works though!
Another thing I forgot to ask:
Is there an easy way of inserting a google maps API key to use the maps feature… With googles new API rules for any new website using their maps, I’ve noticed a lot of plugins don’t work correctly as they need the key inserted into the code. I’m no developer so I wouldn’t trust myself to do this, have you come across the issue?

Thanks, Daniel

MemberSo glad you asked about the Google Maps API. That is something we’ve noticed as well and we’ve set up The Events Calendar to with the new API standards. Here’s a post that outlines how that works in the latest versions of the plugin:
Cheers!
