ParticipantI am looking for a way to change the price format for our project.
The prices are in Euro´s, so we need the format of 79,00 EUR here.
Focus is on the comma. At the moment prices are beeing displayed like this: 79.00 EUR
Where can I change the point into the comma?April 11, 2016 at 3:00 pm #1101006Cliff
MemberHi Vivianne.
Are you using WooCommerce? If yes, please reference WooCommerce’s settings at https://docs.woothemes.com/document/shop-currency/
If you’re referring to the Event Cost that’s part of The Events Calendar’s settings, please check out this post and see if it helps.

ParticipantI am referring to the Events Calendar part. It doesn´t work with the posted code, it breaks my price format completely.

MemberHi Vivianne. Thanks for trying that other code.
Here’s code that worked for me (see links to screenshots in the code snippet’s comments):

Please let me know how things go for you.

ParticipantThanks for this code, this works. But only in the frontend.
In the backend my client needs to write prices in this format “79.50” instead of “79,50”.
Is there a workaround for that?April 13, 2016 at 3:42 pm #1102218Cliff
MemberVivianne, here’s a video I recorded demonstrating that a comma entered into the Event Cost field in wp-admin does get displayed on the front-end — no special code required: http://cl.ly/1Z2D2h2z3q1p
Please review and let me know if things are different for you.
Thanks.

ParticipantSorry, this doesn´t work in my case.
If I write prices with a comma it doesn´t show the price anymore in the frontend.
It only works with a point.April 14, 2016 at 6:04 am #1102380Cliff
MemberHi. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please share your System Information.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantI cannot make the updates before the project goes live.
We are in a hurry to finish it.
But I downloaded and installed the plugins just a few weeks ago, they´re not so old.
And the problem occured right in the beginning. Is there some code which could fix this thing?

MemberI doubt (but didn’t confirm) that the Event Cost field’s performance would be different from the current 4.1.x versions to your 4.0.x versions.
As such, I’d advise you to follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
I understand you likely do not want to change the active theme or the active plugins, even for testing, but our support is limited to the latest versions of our plugins, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
I hope updating to the latest versions of all our plugins, following our Testing for Conflicts Guide, or leaving the functionality as-is will work for you in the short-term.
I look forward to hearing back when you’re able to go through everything thoroughly.
Thanks.
