ParticipantI would like to know if it would be possible for when an woo commerce email is sent to the admin if it could include the additional attendee information field sets.
This would be very handy as my user would like to have paper record of this and they think it would be easier to print it from the email.
I am not quite sure how i would accomplish this.
ThanksMay 9, 2016 at 10:48 pm #1112532Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Christopher and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to answer this question.I would like to know if it would be possible for when an woo commerce email is sent to the admin if it could include the additional attendee information field sets.
Yes, this is possible to accomplish but would probably require some customization of the WooCommerce email.
This can be achieved a couple of ways:
- Through a third party plugin. E.g.: http://codecanyon.net/item/email-customizer-for-woocommerce/8654473
- By editing the email template from WooCommerce in the location described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/woocommerce-email/#post-1083485
- By using the proper action hook as described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/customising-email-ticket-order-confirmation-and-order-receipt/#post-882571
If this is outside of your comfort zone, you can also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantSo I am attempting to go the route of the 3rd party plugin.
But yet I am not seeing how I would add the additional information.
Could you please provide the Shortcode or any other information that could be used to get the section from the Tickets Email to show up.
I have uploaded the section i want,

MemberGood evening Christopher,
That is a great question.
In software like WooCommerce and the Events Calendar, it is possible to do template customization.
To get a sense of how that works, you might want to read our Themer’s guide. In short, you can edit the PHP content of the templates to add the desired elements.
In your specific case, that means editing the basic WooCommerce email file and adding some extra code to retrieve and include the additional ticket information.
I believe WooThemes also offers documentation on how to edit their email templates on their website.
Finally, as suggested before, if this is outside of your comfort zone, you can also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantI have looked over the themers guide. but it does not really contain the information that i am needing.
I guess i will have to look elsewhere for more information.May 11, 2016 at 6:25 am #1113141Dan Feeley
ParticipantI was looking to do this as well, you may want to read over this thread and see if what I did will work for you. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/have-the-additional-fields-appear-on-invoice/
This will add the fieldset questions and answers on the order invoice and on the admin order email.

MemberHello all,
@Dan, thank you for chiming in that conversation.
As you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
But the good news is that it looks like Barry was able to go above and beyond that requirement and that @Dan ran away with it and shared a snippet for everybody’s benefit! Awesome.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
