ParticipantI’m not sure if this is an issue for Woocommece or Events Tickets Plus but in my receipt email it just says the name of the product rather than the event, is there anyway to add the name of the event? I don’t particularly want to name the ticket like “Early Bird – Name of Event”
This is how it appears now: http://cl.ly/2y1j1S1Q0R0Q – A field outlining that it is an ‘early bird ticket’ as part of an event would be ideal.

ParticipantI found a thread similar to what I’m looking for located here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/add-event-details-to-woocommerce-orders-new-order-email-customer-receipt-email/
However the answer is incorrect. The OP was looking to add event details to the Woocommerce order receipt that a customer receives, however they were directed to edit the tickets email that is sent out by Events Tickets.
I’m essentially looking for the same thing. Adding event ticket info TO the receipt email.

ParticipantHey Lindsay,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You can use the information in the other thread you’ve mentioned here to get the event information. You can then take a look at the templates > emails folder within WooCommerce to find the appropriate email that you would like to modify (I believe the one you’re looking for in this instance is the customer-completed-order.php file).
You can then take a look at the hooks that WooCommerce has built into each of their templates and add the information using the appropriate hook there.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi there.
I didn’t really understand the stack overflow example so I found an alternative way of doing it, by storing a value in a custom field then outputting that in the email. I don’t know which method is better/worse. Any suggestions?

ParticipantHey Lindsay,
With this, are you saying you’re storing the event title as a custom value (manually adding the event title) to the ticket product?
Thanks!

ParticipantI’m storing the event title as a custom field, yes.

ParticipantHey Lindsay,
That approach would work. The event is attached to the product through it’s own custom meta that could be accessed to automatically pull the Event Title. However, using the custom field works here as well.
Thanks!
