Hi,
we have a conflict with newest Sensei plugin of woothemes. If Sensei is enabled, the event calender gives 404s. We asked Woothemes about this as well and cannot verify if it only happens with our site or with any site with these two plugins.
We will add the php warnings below. Any ideas?
thanks!April 27, 2016 at 3:35 pm #1107962CliffMemberHi. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Could you please make sure all your WooThemes and Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions? Here’s information for our plugins and WordPress core:
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, would you mind enabling WP_DEBUG and sharing any messages you see while navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket?
After all that, if it’s not resolved and there aren’t any WP_DEBUG messages, please share your System Information. That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Thanks.
May 4, 2016 at 5:51 am #1110383NicoMemberHi there,
Thanks for the patience while we looked into this! We’ve done some testing and this issue seems to be introduced in the latest update of Sensei (version 1.9.5). Downgrading Sensei to version 1.9.4 should make this right again.
We are in contact with the Sensei team to solve this, and will be giving you another heads-up when the fix is in place.
Best,

Just wanted to let you know that we could work this out with the Sensei team. They have just rolled out an update (version 1.9.6) with a fix for this issue, so you can go ahead an update the plugin in your site.
Please let us know if this works as expected after the update,
Best,

thanks for your updates. We have installed the Sensei update and Event calendar update two weeks ago and it did solve the issue indeed, great work! However, the listing does not work on non-homepages. Using the event listing widget on home works normally again, but that same widget showing on a different page (using the same widget area, same widget instance) says no events are planned no matter what filter we use. This is strange. The calendar widget showing dates with events does work on such a non-home page.
I guess it is related to the first bug that is solved. Does that give you a clue and can you reproduce this? Thanks!
May 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm #1116634CliffMemberHi. My understanding from one of our developers is that the two plugins’ updates narrowed the potential for conflicts but didn’t fully resolve all scenarios and that we’ll need to handle things probably for some time to come before everything’s peachy-keen between the two if at all possible.
We appreciate your understanding with the situation.
May 20, 2016 at 7:45 am #1116996BrookParticipantI just wanted to thank you once again for reaching out to us about this. We just released a new version of The Events Calendar and all of its addons that contains a fix for this.
Our blog post with the full details: The Events Calendar 4.1.4 and premium add-ons
We recommend updating as soon as you can to get the latest patches. Please let us know if this fixes the bug you have been experiencing or if you have any follow up questions. Thank you again!

Unfortunately, the Events List widget is still broken on Pages other than the home page: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/the-events-calendar-4-1-4-events-list-widget-broken-on-non-home-pages-by-sensei/
May 25, 2016 at 10:03 am #1118769CliffMemberRobert, we actually have that as a different internal bug that we’re actively working on. Sorry about giving the impression of being “all done”, but we will get to the issue you described as soon as possible (although I’m unsure if we’re needing Sensei’s people to make some changes too) — so no guarantee on timing…
Thanks again for your understanding and patience.
