Maintenance Release for the Week of 9 July 2018

Welcome to maintenance release number 10 of 2018! If this is your first time getting an update from us, maintenance releases are smaller updates between major releases, and are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small (but meaningful!) improvements. We always recommend using a staging site to test these changes before updating on a live site.

To see all of the changes included in this maintenance release, check out the changelogs for all updated plugins below:

The Events Calendar 4.6.20

  • Feature – Add featured event column support for CLI imports
  • Add – Method to sanitize a multidimensional array
  • Add – New is_not_null and is_null methods for Tribe__Validator__Base
  • Fix – Display the exact search term in the “no results” notice on the events page
  • Fix – Allow venue and organizer fields to be intentionally empty on Event Singular REST API calls
  • Fix – Added basic checks to prevent saving obviously-invalid event meta values, such as sending EventStartMinute of 60 (since it should be 0-59) to tribe_create_event(). This prevents falling back to “zero” values (e.g. Unix Epoch) when another value was intended. Thanks to @compton-bob for flagging this via our Help Desk.
  • Fix – Add Privacy Policy guide for The Events Calendar
  • Tweak – Added new filter tribe_plugins_get_list to give an opportunity to modify the list of tribe plugins
  • Tweak – Added event ID parameter to tribe_events_event_classes filter to make it more useful
  • Tweak – Added the tribe_aggregator_record_finalized action to allow developers to act before Event Aggregator imports start

Events Calendar PRO 4.4.29

  • Fix – Redirect to the main event series page when trying to access a nonexistent event recurrence
  • Fix – Display the time of recurring event when previewing the event. Thanks Sumaiya for flagging this!
  • Fix – Integrate the events list and mini calendar widgets with Site Origin’s Page Builder. Thanks @tommy, @simon, and @david.longdon for flagging this!
  • Fix – Add validation to the recurrence exclusion “on” and “after” fields. Thanks James for reporting!
  • Fix – Make sure recurring event instances will always show in REST API responses
  • Tweak – Harden the sanitizing of values on the mini calendar

Event Tickets 4.7.5

  • Fix – Display unavailability message when tickets are not yet or no longer available
  • Fix – Issues with calculating and displaying ticketed events on the admin list

  • Feature – Add base REST API system and endpoint for QR check in
  • Feature – Add security code and REST path to QR code url and require use of security code for REST check in
  • Tweak – Add tribe_tickets_plus_trash_ticket filter to give the opportunity to trash tickets when deleted instead of actually deleting them
