ParticipantNo worries, Geoff. When I hadn’t heard from you I came back here and used the suggestion you’d made publicly. The Simple CSS plugin does solve the issue on both my WordPress sites that are using The Events Calendar Pro plugin (and Filter Bar, etc.) It’s all good. I don’t know why it decided to break all of a sudden, and I don’t have much hair to tear out, but I appreciate your help on this. I’ve documented the workaround so it’ll be a speedier process going forward.
Thanks again,
– Shannon

ParticipantGeoff B., can’t see your November 10th reply, unless you’re simply informing me I marked my previous reply as private. Was there some issue with me marking it as private? I did so because I was sharing my full CSS and file path.

ParticipantI’m game for assistance, as the fix I’d applied prior to this update (adding the three lines to the CSS) is no longer having any affect. Yes, I’ve refreshed my browser’s cache.

ParticipantYeah, that’s the workaround I’ve been using. I just thought the navigation bar would actually function ๐ and let folks (including myself) grab any month’s worth of data they wanted. Ok, thanks!

ParticipantThis is still a bug as of Version 4.3.2

ParticipantI’m afraid I didn’t see your request in a timely (heh) fashion. However, I have a different event now in my countdown and for whatever reason that one has an accurate countdown — no discrepancy in the hours. We shall see if it remains accurate when our Daylight Saving Time goes into effect here in a couple days (November 6) ๐
Thanks for your reply, Andras!

ParticipantThank you, Saloni. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was causing that. I added the missing code back and it resolved the issue.
I had to revert back to version 4.3 because 4.3.1 & 4.3.1.1 both crashed my site (Error 500). I’m not upgrading back until things get a lot more stable around here.

ParticipantMy follow-up post explains the issue in greater detail. I’m aware the ical โfeedโ by default isnโt a feed of all the events within the calendar. It’s behavior, however, is not functioning as designed. At least not on my site and not on all sites running the calendar. See my followup post in this thread.

ParticipantSo, I did some testing using some of The Events Calendar “Showcase” sites.
One of the sites I tested that exhibits the same problem I’m having is https://africa.si.edu/. Attempting to export their November events into a blank test Google Calendar results in receiving past events up to November early November even though their calendar is populated with events all the way to November 30th.
I noticed the URL for their “Export Month’s Events” button matched mine — it doesn’t include the year or month. Now we’re on to something. https://africa.si.edu/events/month/?ical=1&tribe_display=month
Another of the sites I tested, http://events.boisestate.edu/, does NOT exhibit the problem I’m having. It functions as desired. When viewing their November calendar, clicking their “Export Month’s Events” button results in receiving an .ics file that contains the November calendar view’s events (which, yes, does contain some end of October & beginning of December events–this isn’t an issue; the issue is receiving an incomplete data set. One should receive ALL of November’s events, and one does on the boisestate.edu site.
The URL for their “Export Month’s Events” button for the month of November calendar view? https://events.boisestate.edu/events/2016-11/?ical=1&tribe_display=month
Using The Events Calendar’s public Demo calendar as a test (http://wpshindig.com/), I also have the same failure as on my own website and as on https://africa.si.edu/. When viewing the November calendar in month view and clicking “Export Month’s Events”, the resulting .ics populates a fresh/blank test Google Calendar with the calendar’s events from Sept. 25 to only Nov. 4 even though the calendar’s November events span to the 30th. In this case, as well, the URL for the “Export Month’s Events” button doesn’t pass the month and year — http://wpshindig.com/events/month/?ical=1&tribe_display=month

ParticipantNo worries. I suspected that might be the case (WP Touch & JetPack’s mobile theme not playing well with The Events Calendar’s plugins). You’re correct about the migration to fully responsive themes.
Thanks for looking into it for me! I’m glad it’s not something simple I was overlooking.

ParticipantPrivate reply with my system information forthcoming next.
Provided my website’s URL & went through the testing for conflicts procedure prior to posting my thread, as per requirements of posting a thread (novel concept, I know! *grin*)
With all plugins except The Events Calendar (and Pro) + Filter Bar disabled and the Twenty Fourteen theme applied, the site displays no blog posts and instead displays the same events as the mobile version of my site’s Events List is displaying [screenshot of site as it appears in test configuration]. That is Greek to me but perhaps sheds light to someone well-versed in themes.
