Facebook events import duplicating (on auto-import) for almost every event. Is there an official resolution to this issue?
Thanks.

Rick MaggioParticipantOnce last question. I previously saved about 20 pages in there but can’t even access the page to remove some. Would I have to do that in the DB?
Rick MaggioParticipantThanks Geoff,
I meant 20 pages. I actually intend to try to import about 75 pages on a regular basis. Do you think that this is outside of the capabilities of the plug-in? Also, I’m not opposed to upgrading servers for this. Do you think that a dedicated server would do much better? Thanks,

Some of the other templates do work but I’d have to give-up my right widget areas which are important to me. Thanks though. -rick
Rick MaggioParticipantHi Jonah,
If I edit and re-save past events, it seems to correct the problem. Thank you.-rick
Rick MaggioParticipantCheck out either:
* Happy hour at backstreets
* Happy Hour at JoJo’sRick MaggioParticipantSorry for the delay. I had to get it off the homepage because the load times were crazy. Here’s a link and thanks in advance: http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/test-page-2/
Rick MaggioParticipantHi Jonah,
Thanks for the reply. I don’t have any caching plugins installed. I have a few hundred events though. I’m not sure whether this would be considered a lot? I have the widget set to only show 5 though.Any page which has the widget installed takes 8+ seconds to load, although removing the widget cuts it down to just a couple seconds.
I host with GoDaddy (I know what you’re going to say, lol…) but haven’t had this problem in the past with the calendar widget performance.
Rick MaggioParticipantHi Jonah,
Almost all of my events are recurring. If you visit the homepage, you’ll notice several events which are recurring and are happening today. Examples:
1. Take out pizza special
2. Happy Hour at Backstreets
3. Hurricane Grill & Wings Daily SpecialsAll three of these events link to the original day/time which they were created, as opposed to linking to the today’s version of each event. For example:
1. Take out pizza special links to http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/event/take-out-pizza-special-2/2013-07-01/ instead of http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/event/take-out-pizza-special-2/2013-07-09/
2. Happy Hour at Backstreets links to http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/event/happy-hour-at-backstreets/2013-07-01/ instead of http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/event/happy-hour-at-backstreets/2013-07-09
3. Hurricane Grill & Wings Daily Specials links to http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/event/hurricane-grill-wings-daily-specials/2013-07-01/ instead of http://www.walkaboutwellington.com/event/hurricane-grill-wings-daily-specials/2013-07-09/For some reason, it seems to only affect old events which were set to recurring. I’ve added new test events which seem to function fine.
Thanks in advance.
Rick MaggioParticipantJust what I needed. Thanks Barry.
Rick MaggioParticipantThanks, looking forward to it. Are we still a month or two away from that release?

Rick MaggioParticipantThanks Joyce,
We’re just trying to think this through a bit. Just trying to make the most out of traffic being generated by these old pages. -
