Thanks so much, Brook!
I did exactly that and it worked perfectly π
James LavineParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for your response. I should have been more clear about my goal, haha. To answer your questions:
Do you need an event-specific search that covers all events, past and present? Yes!
Are you wanting these results to show within a standard WordPress search results page? Yes!The results are already showing in a standard WordPress search results page, so we’re halfway there. And I do agree that when searching for events, only showing future event’s is a sensible default…but is there a way around it?
Thanks!
James LavineParticipantOh, sorry about that! The site is live now, so the URL is http://pcss-o.org/calendar-of-events/
Thanks!
James LavineParticipantThanks so much George! I just re-activated the most recent version, 3.9.1 β let me know what you find π
James LavineParticipantHi George,
I just realized that the support team won’t be around until next week, so I reinstalled v3.8 so that my navigation worked. Let me know when you’re back, and I can reinstall the latest version so you’re able to troubleshoot.
Thanks!
James LavineParticipantHi George,
Sorry for the delayed response, but I am still having the same issue. In your Jan 6 response, you asked:
“Has this issue improved for you as well, or was it broken and then you installed an older version of Events Calendar and itβs only because of that change that the menus work again?”
The answer is yes, it was working because I installed an older version of the plugin. I’d like to be able to make updates now and in the future, so I just updated to the current version so that you could take another look.
Thanks so much for you help!
James LavineParticipantThat worked perfectly Geoff β thanks for your help!
James LavineParticipantHi George,
I’d be happy to elaborate. Whenever I’m on the page that the full calendar is running on, the dropdown menus in the site’s main menu will not function. There should be dropdown menus for About, Education & Training, Mentoring, and Resources.
Here’s the calendar page: http://pcsso.studiopie.co/calendar-of-events/
Thanks!
-JamesJames LavineParticipantThat works perfectly! Thanks so much Geoff π

James LavineParticipantI’ve been looking for a way to handle time zones as well. Thanks for pointing out the availability of additional fields!
I have a question though: What if I want to use the data from an additional field in a place other than where it shows up by default, under the “Other” heading. I would love for it (the time zone) to display after the date and time, right under the title of the event. It would also be great to make it display after the date and time in the tooltip that shows up when you hover over an event in the full calendar view.
Thanks so much for your help!
