I started the vote. However, as Steph said… this is extremely easy, the image link is already there in the feed! For a good coder it would only take a few hours.

Surely your development should also prioritise features with a lot of benefit to people and to help you sell your plugin, rather than just a voting system which most users will be unaware of?

Sorry, I am just fed up waiting for this 🙁

Again, same problem. I have asked a couple of times for images to import, and still waiting.

I have to say this is really disappointing! The image link is there in the feed! As I pointed out in my post some months ago. It is extremely easy to import the image, for Google, Facebook, iCal, and it should have been done some time ago.

As it is, it is now making this plugin unsuitable for me, and if it’s not done soon I am afraid I will have to go elsewhere.

Hi Hunter, thank you for your reply.

I believe you are incorrect regarding “Google Calendars don’t have a featured image field we’re able to draw from”. Google Calendar has file attachments for events, which can be used as featured image.

The .ics file (which event calendar uses, not API) includes the file attachment, and it’s URL. So that it can be imported.

    TRANSP:OPAQUE

This is already being done on a couple of other platforms so it is possible. A Google event can have multiple attachments, but you would only need to take the first image file, and most people (such as myself) would only be attaching one image, specifically for this purpose. You could also state this in documentation.

Thank you Cliff, I will wait then.

Regarding not being sure of when event aggregator will come out… there is a ticker on the Event Aggregator page! Which currently shows 1 day and 21 hours!

    Thanks,
    Lee.

    Hi Cliff,

Given that I have just purchased iCal Importer on the back of an email from one of your staff, and did not know about the Event Aggregator, could I please have a refund/upgrade?

It would be great if it imports Google attachments! Unfortunately at the moment it is not usable for us.

    Kind regards,
    Lee.
