MemberHello,
I believe the problem here is that in the past, to post an event, you would like on Posts and check yes on the box “Is this post an Event”. Because The Event Calendar used Posts, the fields “HeadSpace” that allow you to add Title, Description and if you click advanced, you can add javascript and stylesheets to a post.
Now that The Event Calendar is no long using Posts but it’s own tab in the WP Admin Portal, it appears the All-In-One SEO plugin (and subsequent title, description, javascript and stylesheets are missing.
Here is a screenshot of the missing fields my client needs back:

I hope you can assist me in helping them gain access to these fields when posting Events again.
Thanks!
Scott

MemberActually, I think I found the issue. When I go to add a new post (not an Event but a post), I have Head Space which allows me to put in Title and Description – but these fields are not available on any Event page.
Do you know of any issues with the All-in-One SEO plugin?
Scott
MemberYup – you got the right post on that Rob – ty!

MemberThat did it, Jonah!
With all the new features, can you point me to comprehensive/detailed features and how-to guides?
Thanks!

MemberHi Jonah,
My client notified me that the “Upcoming Events” is working now but it is missing location. It just shows City, State and/or United States.

MemberCan you change this please? You are logged in as me and I don’t want to login with the same credentials.
Also, what about the missing meta data that used to be under “Excerpt” when creating a new event? I installed the add-on that should have provided “meta data” among other things but I don’t know how to do this. The plugin didn’t put the meta data fields under Excerpts as it was on the previous version of the Event Calendar plugin.
Also, how can I remove the previous/next events pagination at the bottom of each event?
TY!

MemberThere are no problems on the server. Could it be that you have this website listed in your hosts file because you were assisting me before and I pointed you to the development site?
Check to see if my client’s site is in your hosts file and if it is (which I’m thinking it is) then please remove it and view the site.
That would explain this problem (and why your plugin list is different and shows plugins that need to be updated that already are.

MemberI don’t understand why I see plugin updates for some plugins in your screenshot that I don’t see (verified by the screenshot I just uploaded) – such as the “Find and Replace” and “AddToAny” plugins. Strange. Same login!

MemberDone – and yes, you can disable PRO so you can see the upcoming events appear on the home page.
I do not know if activating PRO removed the events from the backend of wordpress or just the display of them on the home page.
TY for your prompt attention to this.

MemberYes, that is my client’s site.
How can I help you help me?
Scott
MemberIssue #1 – I had to install PRO – paid for it but in the trouble of getting upgraded from 1.6.4, forgot to add it again.
Problem 2 – metadata missing below “Excerpts” when you create a new event.
his prevents the user from naming the page and writing a short description that populates when the link is posted elsewhere. (such as Facebook).
The old plugin had this option under Excerpts.
I installed the add-on that is supposed to provide meta data fields but I see no difference in the available fields in the “Add Event” page – even under Excerpts.
How does the Advanced Post Manager work with the “Add New” event page? It is installed but I can’t find it or see where/how it is working with the Events Calendar.
