    Hi,

How can I tell if I have PRO installed? My client paid for it.

    Any news on the update?

As for clarification on Question 2 above – Page title and Meta Description is missing from the section where you can create an event. This prevents the user from naming the page and writing a short description that populates when the link is posted elsewhere. (such as Facebook).

The old plugin had this option under Excerpts. It is missing now.

I decided to go ahead and upgrade to version 2.0.3 so you don’t have to install anything – trying to save time and show you the error on the dev site.

Also, I didn’t see any errors in Firebug.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jonah,

I’m running version 1.6.4 on both the live site and development site.

I will email login to the development version of the site (WordPress), FTP, cPanel and hosts file information (since the dev site is not live).

When I upgrade to 1.6.5, the navigation is fine. It’s only when I upgrade to 2.0.3 that I get the error. You can install 1.6.5 – to confirm there is no problems and then you’ll see the nav problems with 2.0.3.

    Thank you.

I’m sorry – a little too quick on my reply. I forgot to migrate data (at the bottom of the page).

I see my old entries now. I will play around with it to confirm all is working.

QUESTION: It is okay that I updated by overwriting my old files in the-event-calendar folder instead of going through “Add New” correct?

    Thanks,

    Scott

I tried updating the files in the folder (through FTP) and while it updated The Events Calendar, I’ve lost all my old events.

I will now use my backup.

Any idea what is going wrong here?

Bummer – still says the same thing after updating to 1.6.5. Could this have anything to do with having the site cloned on a development server and updating my vhosts file to work on the site?

I have updated 7 other plugins today with no issues doing this (and I’ve never had a problem in the past working on a site on a dev server/vhosts entry with IP and website listed).

    Thanks,

    Scott

    Hi Rob,

If I rename the folder, how will it keep all my current events?

    Thanks!

I should add that I have disabled version 1.6.4 before attempting to “Add New” – and I’ve tried leaving it enabled. Neither one works.
