    Hello,

I have PRO installed. When I click Add New to create a new event, I have (below the WYSIWYG editor) the ability to set Event Time, Event Location, Event Organizer and an option for “Additional Functionality” that has the following link:

Looking for additional functionality including recurring events, custom meta, community events, ticket sales and more? Check out the available Add-Ons.

When I click the “Add-Ons” link, I am directed to a “Shop” page where I can download add-ons such as “Advanced Post Manager” which includes metadata (which my client has been asking about).

I posted a question on this forum and was told among other things that because I have PRO, I don’t need to download the add-ons.

    See this link:

    PROBLEMS:

My client has been asking about metadata so when they post on Facebook, they can use the metadata fields for a title/description that is used when sharing.

If I already have the “Advanced Post Manager” installed, where is the fields for metadata (and for all the other options this add-on provides?

Thank you for clearing this up.

    Scott

Hi Scott. Thanks for the note…happy to help you out here. But can you elaborate a bit? I’m not sure where the metadata field comes into play here; the “Advanced Post Manager” functionality is essentially just this ability to filter your events on the backend, as can be seen in this screenshot: http://cl.ly/2b3o351v2E2D3w0j472j.

Let me know if I’ve misunderstood the question and I’d be happy to elaborate or adjust my response. Cheers!

Actually, I think I found the issue. When I go to add a new post (not an Event but a post), I have Head Space which allows me to put in Title and Description – but these fields are not available on any Event page.

Do you know of any issues with the All-in-One SEO plugin?

Ah, thanks for confirming. Is Head Space a third party plugin?

As for the All-In-One SEO plugin; I don’t recall any offhand, and am not seeing reference to it in the forum here. I did recommend it to a user at one point and he never reported any problems as a result, but we haven’t specifically tested against it either.

Hope that helps. Let me know what else I can do.

    Hello,

I believe the problem here is that in the past, to post an event, you would like on Posts and check yes on the box “Is this post an Event”. Because The Event Calendar used Posts, the fields “HeadSpace” that allow you to add Title, Description and if you click advanced, you can add javascript and stylesheets to a post.

Now that The Event Calendar is no long using Posts but it’s own tab in the WP Admin Portal, it appears the All-In-One SEO plugin (and subsequent title, description, javascript and stylesheets are missing.

Here is a screenshot of the missing fields my client needs back:

I hope you can assist me in helping them gain access to these fields when posting Events again.

    Thanks!

Hey Scott, thanks for the follow-up. So just to confirm: are you saying that the site has the HeadSpace plugin installed, but it isn’t carrying over to the new Events post type? Have you checked whether it’s just been hidden under “Screen Options” atop the page?

You may also want to check that Headspace is configured on your site to work with custom post types like events.
