Scott
MemberHello –
Here is a note from one of our clients:
1. I tried updating all the website events. I thought I had added the venue information, and I’m noticing that the venue for some reason does not save when I save the draft. I’m not sure what the problem is, but it is not saving the venue info.
2. There used to be a place where I could put Title and Description so when I posted a link to an event, it would use this data. Now, there is nowhere to add Title/Description so when I link to an event, it grabs an icon from the footer with text from the event.
Thank you for your assistance!

MemberHey Scott. Thanks for the note. On these points:
1. Are they using the free The Events Calendar, rather than the PRO version? That’s where this problem should be happening (as PRO saves venue/organizer data). There is a bug along these lines which we’ll have patched in the 2.0.4 release, out over the next couple days. If you want it early (understanding that it is still a beta) email pro /a/ tri.be with a link to this thread and we’ll hook you up.
2. Not sure I understand this issue. This sounds like it may be a behavior related to how WordPress handles linking, rather than the events calendar itself? Let me know if I’m incorrect there.

MemberHi,
How can I tell if I have PRO installed? My client paid for it.
Any news on the update?
As for clarification on Question 2 above – Page title and Meta Description is missing from the section where you can create an event. This prevents the user from naming the page and writing a short description that populates when the link is posted elsewhere. (such as Facebook).
The old plugin had this option under Excerpts. It is missing now.

MemberHey Scott. Thanks for confirming. You can check if PRO is installed by seeing if Events Calendar PRO is active on the Plugins list. The 2.0.4 update is being QAd now and should be out this week.
For #2, when I go to create a new event I see both of these fields right atop the page: http://cl.ly/1z3V1T0I2W1x181d1m2d. Have I misunderstood the request here?

MemberIssue #1 – I had to install PRO – paid for it but in the trouble of getting upgraded from 1.6.4, forgot to add it again.
Problem 2 – metadata missing below “Excerpts” when you create a new event.

The old plugin had this option under Excerpts.
I installed the add-on that is supposed to provide meta data fields but I see no difference in the available fields in the “Add Event” page – even under Excerpts.
How does the Advanced Post Manager work with the “Add New” event page? It is installed but I can’t find it or see where/how it is working with the Events Calendar.

MemberHey again Scott. Thanks for the follow-up. On these points:
#1. Glad to see you got this re-added.
#2. Still not quite sure I understand what you mean here. When I boot up 1.6.5 and look under the “Excerpt” field, here’s what I see: http://cl.ly/231U052f392p341S2A3f. Is what you’re referencing included in that screenshot? The Advanced Post Manager doesn’t really exist anywhere in the plugin beyond the overall admin Events list view. Check it out here: http://cl.ly/2b3o351v2E2D3w0j472j. And for that, you wouldn’t have to install the separate Advanced Post Manager plugin as the functionality should be built into Events Calendar PRO.
That help? Let me know if you have other questions here, happy to address what I can.
