Hi – I’m having the same issue on livemusicproject.org with caching. My database size increased from 18MB to 78MB and it took me a while to track down the cause. I’d recommend adding a note about this on your documentation page (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-month-view-transients/). For now, I’m turning off caching.

We added
$custom_text = array( 'organizer' => 'performer' );
to functions.php and it didn’t change the link.September 29, 2015 at 8:43 am in reply to: Submitted new organizer is pending even after event is published #1009706pickleshyParticipantGeorge, thanks for the sweet reply! I completely understand 🙂
I can send you updates on 3.12.x as soon as we have it on staging. Should I post them here, submit them as individual bugs via the forum, or send you an email?
September 28, 2015 at 11:26 am in reply to: Submitted new organizer is pending even after event is published #1009349pickleshyParticipantHi George,
I am aware of the 3.12.x updates, but since my site is highly customized, we JUST got done testing, fixing, re-testing, and deploying the 3.11.x version to the site.
It’s sometimes hard to stay on top of all the updates when they’re not entirely backwards compatible and/or compatible with our customizations. (Just for an example: the 3.12.x versions currently break the date picker on my Community Events form, so until I get that figured out, I can’t update to the latest.)
Anyway, not to complain – just explaining why I’m not running the latest versions. It’s a lot of overhead on our end, and we have to balance that with other site-related work, as I’m sure you understand.
Anyway, might be worth looking into this just in case it’s still relevant in 3.12.x!

pickleshyParticipantHi Nico,
For the most part it works great! The one issue we still have is that when the cost of an event is 0, the “Free” label goes away (the entire label is hidden).
We’re thinking of using the following workaround:
function verbatim_cost_field( $cost, $post_id ) { $freeStr = "free"; $pos = stripos($cost, $freeStr, 0); if ($pos !== false) { return $cost; } return esc_html( get_post_meta( $post_id, '_EventCost', true ) ); } add_filter( 'tribe_get_cost', 'verbatim_cost_field', 10, 2 );
Does that look about right to you?
pickleshyParticipantAwesome, I’ll try it! Thanks!
pickleshyParticipantSubscribing to updates about this question 🙂
pickleshyParticipantBTW – I spot checked 10 other venues and they seem to be fine, so I’m not sure if this could be an “IP limit” issue. Would love your advice on how to correct this map issue!
pickleshyParticipantI am seeing a similar issue on our site. The venue address is correct, but the ECP map displays the wrong location.
The venue is in Washington state, and the Google link points to the right place, but the map on ECP shows the venue to be in Canada (on the opposite coast, no less).

October 25, 2014 at 6:57 pm in reply to: Organizer URL: modifying "tribe_organizer" in organizer slug #836501pickleshyParticipantGood news! Our theme fix worked on production as well. Note that it may be necessary to reset permalinks in order to make the new URLs point to the venue and organizer pages.
Thanks for your help and patience!
October 25, 2014 at 3:52 pm in reply to: Organizer URL: modifying "tribe_organizer" in organizer slug #836174pickleshyParticipantAnd we’ve now fixed the issue on staging. Stay tuned for an update on prod…
October 25, 2014 at 3:51 pm in reply to: Organizer URL: modifying "tribe_organizer" in organizer slug #836172pickleshyParticipantTurns out we DID change the theme to use the new templates, way back in June, so that big chunk of work is already done! I think we found the offending code in the theme. Although we’re using the new templates, our theme is still calling into the meta factory. This code in particular seems to cause the issue:
function change_meta_headers($translation, $text, $domain) {
if ($domain == ‘tribe-events-calendar’) {
switch ($text) {
case ‘Details’:
$translation = ‘More about this event’;
break;
case ‘Organizer’:
$translation = ”;
break;
case ‘Venue’:
$translation = ”;
break;
}}
return $translation;
}
add_filter(‘gettext’, ‘change_meta_headers’, 10, 3); -
