ParticipantHello,
Thank you for your help. This is unfortunate, since deleting events manually each time would create additional work and might cause inconsistencies in the website’s calendar. Would you happen to have a temporary workaround for deleting all the events in the calendar in one click? That way we could “purge” the web calendar before importing the .ics file.
I read some other threads. First, I found out about Event Rocket, but it’s not adequate since it also wipes settings and customization, not just events.
I also saw a snippet your team provided in this thread to purge deleted events. Would it be possible to have a something similar but to purge ALL events in the calendar instead of just the deleted ones?
Thank you,

ParticipantHello,
It seems that it will import when there are future events in the source file (it doesn’t import when there are only past events.)
When running the tests, we updated our .ics file to change descriptions, titles and remove an event (eg. cancellation).
However, after running the import with the updated source file, it did not removed the event in the calendar. Descriptions, titles, etc. were updated but the event not present in the source .ics was not removed in the calendar.
Is there a way to accomplish this? Our goal is for website’s calendar to be exact same as the .ics source.

ParticipantHello Geoff,
Thanks for understanding. I appreciate your efforts to resolve this issue.
The CSS you provided worked well by hiding the tooltips.
Thank you,

ParticipantHello Geoff,
That is unfortunate to hear, since I need the website to be completely in French. The website I am developing is almost complete, and I plan to launch it soon.
I was under the impression that the Event Calendar Pro would be the ideal solution. Even if it is a temporary fix, it would mean a lot. I think it is a big issue, since currently, no website using The Events Calendar Pro can be translated completely from English, whatever the chosen language is. Don’t get me wrong, most of the the content can be translated easily with .po files and I had an overall good experience doing that so far. But when you have high web design standards and want to build a great looking, professional website, the presence of words in an other language is not acceptable, especially when it’s directly in the middle of the content, such as tool tips. Viewers (the audience) won’t see this as a technical bug, but rather a spelling error or lack of professionalism.
I hope the people involved realize that a solution is needed promptly. Also wanted to point out that this is the second issue regarding translation I have encountered since I recently started using the plugin: (see thread)
I appreciated the way the problem was handled and the fast temporary solution provided, even if translatable slugs have yet to be released in the future. I understand that this current issue might be more complicated, but please note that no solutions means that I will have to use measures such as disabling the tooltips completely, but disabling that feature takes some value out of this product. No mater what solution you could provide now (even temporary or minimal), it would be very appreciated.Thank you for your understanding and I look forward for this issue to be resolved,
Stéphane

ParticipantHi,
Yes that worked, thank you!
The only place where it is still displayed “all” is in the dashboard when you create the event. I know that can be changed by modifying the value in “Permalinks.php” in “wp-content\plugins\events-calendar-pro\src\Tribe\Recurrence\” but since it will be modifiable in a future release, it doesn’t really matter for now. The important thing is that the actual link can be modified and works.
Thank you and have a nice day!

ParticipantHello,
Adding the snippet in functions.php did work but not completely. The event is still being created under /all as the actual url and the change seems to only affect the “See all” link.
I created a new event to be sure. After setting up a recurrence rule, I clicked on “See all” for one of the event of the series and it goes to the url “myevent/tous” but gives me a 404 not found error. If I go the url “myevent/all” instead, I can see all of the events in the series, meaning that the event is still being created under the “/all” url.
Let me know if you need anything from me to help you find the solution.
Thank you,

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for opening a ticket and for the workaround!
I also appreciate the offer for support in French, but I’d rather communicate in English when it comes to technical terms.
I am not sure how to implement this.
I tried copying the “custom-all-recurring-events-slug.php” in “/wp-content/themes/[my-theme]/tribe-events/pro/” and changed the ‘everysingleone’ for the desired value.
I visited the Settings > Permalinks screen and re-saved my Permalinks but it didn’t work. I also created a new event to be sure but same results. And finally, I tried copying the file in “/wp-content/themes/[my-theme]/tribe-events/” instead but no luck.
