Michele JustinParticipant
Sorry Jaime, I just saw your hyperlink a couple of replies back…all good, found the Themer’s guide, much appreciated.
Michele JustinParticipantThanks for your help Jaime. I do use child themes for themes, but I was referring to the plugins, which as far as I know, can’t go into the child theme with any programmatic effect.
Is there any documentation with Tribe about how to extend the plugins without modifying the core files?
Michele JustinParticipantThanks Jaime, I will try the code customisation as per your suggestion. Do you know if the wootickets plugin customisations be abstracted out to a child theme as well?
November 28, 2017 at 7:16 pm in reply to: One parent books for multiple kids to attend multiple events #1394359Michele JustinParticipantThanks for your help Jennifer. I’ve been the developer on the website, and since we had a tonne of info to collect (names, dob, allergies, foods, acknowledgments, caveats, etc.) we ended up using Tickets Plus to collect only one field (child name), and then we used ‘WooCommerce Checkout Manager’ to modify only the checkout page, allowing multiple conditional fieldsets to collect the extra information per child (eg. 4 children, potentially with 20 or more tickets). It was quite complex but seems to be doing the job.
Thanks for your help
cheers

Can I please chime in regards this advice Jaime, and it may be of benefit to other readers, I am paranoid about the conflict testing process you mentioned above.I did read the page that you linked, and there was no comment section, so I thought to comment here.
Is it possible that switching themes, and turning plugins off and on as suggested can lose data display such as widget content (when switched back)? I don’t see a caveat on your advice page, so do you feel like this method is completely trustworthy, that switching them all and then back the website will remain as it was before?
cheers

that’s reassurring, thank you.
Re the interim fix, I applied it, and it seems to set the figure correctly when viewing individual products. However, when viewing the list of ‘All Events’ in the frontend, the figure supplied is vastly different to the one that is set.
For example, all our tickets allows 24 capacity. in the frontend, some, but ot all, incorrectly advertise that there are 44 available…asper this screencast: https://screencast.com/t/pWOTIpbT
Have you seen that issue before?
cheers
