That’s pretty crazy. Would have thought this would be a top priority, as core functionality (event archives) is broken.
Ended up replacing all of the shortcode loops with WP Query loops, as I didn’t want this to hold up my site launch this week. Also, I wasn’t a fan of the Ajax loading anyway, so I was already considering going this route.
mattbrettParticipantExactly what I was after, thank you very much!
I did look for the filter, but obviously didn’t use relevant terms.

Every time I hit “next page” it loads events from all categories, not the one I’ve specified. It’s an Ajax issue, as if I hit the URL directly for page 2, the proper events are loaded.
Hoping for a quick fix here, as I’m planning to launch my site this week, but can’t with pagination broken like this.
mattbrettParticipantThanks, but that’s not what I’m after. Looking to vastly improve the confirmation page, not just change the text. I’m in a bit of a time crunch, so I opted for the redirect plugin and am just sending users to their events list. Will revisit this down the road.
mattbrettParticipantNot really, no. I’d like to provide an appropriate message (“your event has been posted” when it’s published, “your event has been edited” when it’s edited), and a direct link to go back to the event. I’d prefer to send the user to the event that’s been published/edited, and display a notice.
Right now, the “recurring event” warning is displayed on the confirmation page (which is irrelevant at this point), along with some plain text links.
Warning: You are editing a recurring event. All changes will be applied to the entire series.
Event updated. (View | Edit)
Submit another event
mattbrettParticipantThanks, but that thread has been around for 4 years, so I won’t hold my breath.
I figured out a workaround, and have actually got my categories at the top level now. domain.com/music for example.
