MaryParticipant
I understand that you won’t be moving back to the events-as-posts structure, but the feature that highlighted the event on the day of the event was a really great thing.
Please, please work on bringing that back. It set you apart for authors like me.
MaryParticipantHurrah! I can see the post now.
As a workaround, this will tide me over, but I do hope that you can bring back the ability to have the post reappear on the day of the event. That was incredibly useful.
MaryParticipantAlas, still a 404. Maybe it’s a permissions issue on the post itself?
MaryParticipantThanks, Rob. I’m having problems getting that link to work, unfortunately.
MaryParticipantI have the same request. One of the reasons that I used the free open source Events Calendar was because it would pop the event back up to the top of my blog posts on the day of the event. That feature is what made me pick Event Calendar over other plug ins.
Frequently I’m on the road when my event occurs and this saved me from posting reminders while traveling.
Please bring it back.
MaryParticipantAh… That’s from a previous version. Thank you. I had hired someone to tweak the previous version to work with my site and completely missed that there was a custom template for it now. Sorry, I should have caught that.
Thank you very much for your help.
MaryParticipantThanks, Birgit, that worked for me.
ngaire: I used ftp to delete the original folder and reuploaded it. It worked fine after that.
MaryParticipantThis is correct.

I had missed the FAQ area, thinking that the entire subject header “2: Help Videos, Knowledge Base, FAQ & Support Forums (oh, my)” was one link instead of multiples.
I really need to pay attention to the blue highlights…
MaryParticipantI’m using Version 3.2.1. Here is a list of the plugins I have installed, in case it turns out to be a conflict there. http://www.maryrobinettekowal.com/journal/my-plugins/
I suspect I may be having larger issues because I’m also getting other error messages from The Event Calendar itself. I’ll start a separate thread for that to keep this one clean.
MaryParticipantI also can’t activate the Pro extension and followed the instructions in the video.
After using the upload feature in the WP plugin area of dashboard, I saw this:
—
Installing Plugin from uploaded file: events-calendar-pro1.zip
Unpacking the packageā¦Installing the pluginā¦
Plugin installed successfully.
Activate Plugin | Return to Plugins page
—I clicked “Activate Plugin” and got “The plugin does not have a valid header.” I then returned to the plugin page and the Pro Extension does not appear on the list.
I have tried uploading twice, just in case.
