You are absolutely right ! It was overwritten by the theme. Thank you for your support.
BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantIt is a correct translation, but it is not displayed in French but in English. Please, see attached screenshot.
BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantI managed to workaround this issue using “Post Terms Order” plugin.
Thank you for your support and sorry for the inconveniance.BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantHere is answer from the theme developper (ThemeCanon – Venue X – Simple Events WordPress Theme) :
“The Events calendar uses a custom post type for their events. Depending on how they have structured their custom post types (the taxonomy structure they are using) this could have an effect on the breadcrumbs.”So I repeat my question: Why the recurring event IS PREFIXED with “tata” when the non-recurring one IS NOT ?
BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantUsing Loco Translate I look into the-events-calendar-fr_FR.po
And I can’t find any “View As:” string nor its french translation.
I can see only “View As” = “Options d’affichage” but it is not what I’m looking for.BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantIn this case, you should be able to advise a breadcrumb plugin I could use on my website ? Of course fully compatible with your recurring events ?
Nevertheless I will contact the theme développer. Do you agree with me that the behaviour I described is not normal ?
BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantYou didn’t understand me. I don’t want to disable breadcrumb.
Let me be more precisely. It seems it is related to the reccuring events.
I created a non-recurring event called “My event”.
It belongs to three categories: toto, titi, tata. toto is parent of titi. tata has no parent category. (screenshot attached).
When I go to the simple events page of “My event” I can see in the breadcrumb (as expected) : “Events/My Event”.Now, I modify “My event” by adding one recurrence of type “date”. And when I go to the simple events page of “My event” I can see in the breadcrumb :
“Events/tata/My Event”.My questions are:
1. Why the reccuring event is prefixed with “tata” when the non-recurring one is not?
2. Why “tata” and not ” toto” or “titi” ?I think you should be able to reproduce this issue on your side ?
MaciejParticipantThe issue is not related to the french translation. I have updated the french language file using poeditor (I simply copied the English string into the french section) and I can see still the issue.
It is happening on the list view.

MaciejMaciejParticipantHello,
Very, very, very bad news.
I can’t imagine to manually define all my recurring events !
Moreover if I have to modify the content I have to do it for each instance ?
I need the functionality of recurring event compatible with WPML ASAP!
Please, give me the instructions on how to manually (in the database) setup a recurring event compatible with WPML.

MaciejParticipantHello,
First at all: for me an event which starts on 2016-06-29 9am and ends on 2016-07-02 17pm last exactly 3 days and 8 hours, isn’t it ?
But, nevermind.
I tried everything to setup an recurring event. Even something as simple as follows:
Start = 2016-04-27 @ 09-00
End = 2016-04-27 @ 17-00
Recurrence rule = every month and will end after 2 events.
With these settings I expect to see 2 events in the events calendar and in the events list.
But I can see only the first instance (which starts on 2016-04-27). Not the second one which starts on 2016-05-27.
Please, note that :
1. Show only the first instance of each recurring event (only affects list-style views) IS NOT checked
2. Allow users to decide whether to show all instances of a recurring event IS NOT checked
Am I missing something ?
BR,
MaciejMaciejParticipantThank you
MaciejParticipantSorry, there were no events defined.
