ParticipantI will talk to our developer about the database. In the meantime, he – our developer – mentioned that only the Events Calendar was updated, not the Events Calendar PRO. I did not see any information about that update on any replies I have seen from you guys. I update the basic Events Calendar, the actual WordPress site and installed the clean-up plugin recommended. But there was no mention of the update to the Events Calendar Pro. Can you direct me to that download?

ParticipantI checked with our hosting company and this is the reply I got back (see below) is this typical of the clean-up plugin working on deleted extra events, or is this still another issue?

Hello Kelly,I do not see the database issues occurring yet however your site is opening processes that use 100% of CPU constantly. After looking at one process it does appear to be the plugin.

ParticipantI have not received a reply to the last two posts I added to this issue? I am hesitant to re-activate without hearing back from you.

ParticipantOne more question for you – if it created all these events, are they still in existence, or did your update clean them? If they are still there, I would imagine we would continue to experience the same delays. Thank you!

ParticipantGood Morning – this from our hosting company – please answer:
I would get this back to them and ask them if this is indicative of the problem they mentioned or if it’s something different:

ParticipantYes, we were using the recurring events feature on all of our events. I will share this information with our hosting company, and see if I can get the plugin re-activated to test it out.
Please stay tuned, and I will update you on further developments.
Do you know when this issue was first reported? Have other end-users found that your update has fixed the issue on their site?Kelly
ParticipantHow about if we change it from “Organizer” to “Region”? I am somewhat handy with making minor code adjustments, so with adequate directions, I should be able to figure it out.
Its just like we changed “Events Calendar” to “Class Schedule” I suppose. Organizer makes sense if you have Events, but it seems odd when you speak of fitness class schedules.Kelly
ParticipantHi! Thanks for the quick response! I am attaching a screenshot below. When I click Edit below the organizer name, it only allows me to change the actual name of the organizer. I would like to change it to:
franchise.live2bhealthy.com/heather-bartley
In other words, remove “organizer”
Its too long of a URL to print on marketing materials, but we think, as a franchise operation, we could use these organizer pages as their local websites.July 28, 2015 at 6:26 am in reply to: When I switch from month to month in search, refresh required – why? #990945Kelly

I actually updated yesterday prior to posting the question, but when I looked this morning, there was another update available and it resolved the issue. Thank you!Kelly
ParticipantAll is up and running again! Thanks for the help and you can close this discussion..

June 16, 2015 at 12:23 pm in reply to: What are your thoughts/plans about a coordinating app for Events Calendar? #969847Kelly
ParticipantDoes Eventbrite have an APP option as well? That’s more what I was interested in, was a way for the instructor to track attendance for medicare/insurance purposes. It would be an internal app to correspond with the calendar.
May 26, 2015 at 1:05 pm in reply to: Changing the word ‘events’ to something else – follow up question #965216Kelly
ParticipantI placed it in the functions.php file as instructed in the online post. It was simple enough to update it again, as I had saved the customization I had made to the code. I am a beginner in this whole website world, so if I follow directions exactly, I can usually do just about anything, plus, I did not design our website, so I have had a very difficult time deciphering the structure.
We do have a web developer who works on some of our more intricate things occasionally. For the time being, I know where to make the change. When my budget allows, I will send the code and your instructions to him. It will probably take him 5 minutes to do. But, I think don’t have any understanding of where you are telling me to place the code.
As long as I know that will happen from time to time, it seems fairly simple to just pop the code back into the function.php.
Thanks!May 4, 2015 at 8:17 am in reply to: HELP! Error Message blocking my ability to login to my WP Admin #960220Kelly
ParticipantFor the time being, the backup was restored, and after a bit of shuffling into correct categories, we seem to be up and running. We can close this ticket.
