It turns out the WordPress editor (WYSIWYG) adding a

<

pre> tag to my widget, which was causing the unexpected rendering. Once I removed this, it worked with no issues.

Turns out I changed the Events Template field to “Default Events Template” and this fixed my issue. Thanks for your help!

I did change the theme to TwentySixteen, and there was no page title at all. I think that’s probably just because there’s not a place for it in the theme? Since technically the calendar isn’t a “page,” I’m not sure where the page title information is coming from.

I researched your other solutions, but I’m not sure where I’m supposed to find the actual title code. There doesn’t appear to be a Monthly php file in the “views” folder. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
