    Hello,

I found the support thread that suggested an Office 365 calendar be imported using the “iCalendar” setting with the .ics url. This has worked for me, and I am very pleased!

However, I have worked hard to set all the categories on our Office 365 calendar, but I would LOVE to be able to bring those categories automatically into The Events Calendar plugin. Is there a way to extend the plug-in to do this? They are currently exactly the same (names of the categories, that is), but none of them came in on the import. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, Kat. This should work as you’re wanting, and I don’t see any outstanding known bugs where it wouldn’t be working.

Does it work if you run it as a one-time import instead of a scheduled import? (Even if you just test one-time importing a single event, not the whole calendar.)

Depending on your findings, could you please send me a link to iCalendar URL that you’re importing via Event Aggregator so I can try it on my own site?

Here is the .ics url that I’m using:

    https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/[email protected]/91e6a8464a2049888fe5a226a49dddcd2101369106940745870/calendar.ics

I’m not sure how to import an individual event. Can you point me in the right direction, please? Thanks!

    Hi Kat,

Thanks for sending that link! I tested this out on my end, and no categories were being imported…however, if you take a look at the .ics file, there does not appear to be categories assigned to any of the events:

Could you please send me a link to the calendar (directly, not the iCalendar URL) that you are trying to import from so that I can take a look?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for looking at that for me! The html link is here:

Please let me know if you need access to my Office 365 account to dig further.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
