Michael MagestroParticipant
Hello-
My question hasn’t been answered. We need more shortcode functionality than what’s offered in the premium version.
Im seeing we need to upgrade to this plugin to allow for calendar view:
Im just wondering if we can show events only from certain categories when in calendar view.
Michael MagestroParticipantJust so you know:
iPhone Calendar: good
Google Calendar: good
Outlook for Windows: good, but with warnings for each event.
OWA: bad, only the all-day events are showing.
Outlook for Mac: bad, only the all-day events are showing.Michael MagestroParticipantError in Outlook:
For comparison purposes, here’s the error message we get before the slash fix:
Task ‘Internet Calendar Subscriptions’ reported error (0x0004001A) : ‘The VEVENT, “Exec. Cmte. Mtg.”, defined near line 8, contains a property that references an undeclared time zone with a TZID of “America/Chicago”. Outlook found an approximate replacement, but note that some of your appointments may be off by an hour. Double-click to open this item.’We applied this fix (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-to-outlook-with-wrong-time/), which helps with the hour being off but we still get the time zone error:
Task ‘Internet Calendar Subscriptions’ reported error (0x00040015) : ‘The VEVENT, “Exec. Cmte. Mtg.”, defined near line 8, contains a property that references an undeclared time zone with a TZID of “/America/Chicago”. The property is being treated as a floating time. Double-click to open this item.’

Michael MagestroParticipant1) To see the total (public + private) picture of all events on one consolidated calendar, office staff syncs the website calendar to Outlook on their desktop PCs. This is done with the iCal subscribe button that sits below the monthly calendar grid on the website. We have this working on the Outlook desktops, but the sync process throws warnings about the time zone for each imported ICS event. The problems are described later below.
2) We also use smartphones, and here’s where it gets tricky: The goal state is to use OWA (Outlook Web App) as it has the best support for sync’ing from Exchange. However, due to the ICS problems alluded-to above, only the all-day events from Events Calendar Pro are coming through. It appears OWA is rejecting the regular events (i.e., the ones with a start and stop time). My guess is that OWA is outright rejecting the events because of the time zone spec problem where as desktop Outlook only throws warnings about the time zones. We also looked into sync’ing to the native calendar apps on smartphones instead of using OWA. On iPhone, our website calendar sync works just fine, but such is not the case with Exchange. We also looked into google calendar; the sync works from Events Calendar Pro, but not from Exchange. So, OWA is seen as the ultimate solution pending the fix to Events Calendar Pro.
Michael MagestroParticipantAlthough these fixes are working with desktop version of Outlook, they do not work at all with OWA (Outlook Web Application)
Can you please update the plugin that will fix the ical feed for both versions of Outlook?
Michael MagestroParticipantAlthough the dates are showing up correct, we see the following errors in Outlook. Can you please advise on this? Thanks.
Michael MagestroParticipantCertainly…

Click to the month of May to see the error.
Michael MagestroParticipantIm trying add buttons similar to the old version of the Events Calendar we had running. You can see these buttons here:
Michael MagestroParticipantIm upgrading from a previous version and we used to have a drop down of months, you can see this here: http://ceebj.org/events/
We have some code that calls for tribe_month_year_dropdowns but it doesnt work, we found this article however:
