Sorry, I meant to say the facebook import via the Events Calendar Plugin works as expected when the formidable pro plugin is deactivated.

I have narrowed the issue down to the FormidablePro plugin. When deactivated, the facebook plugin works as expected–at least at first glance. However, when activated, something odd happens and it uses the same image for all the imported events, including replacing the earlier imported featured image with a single new image (from one of the imported events). Any suggestions? I would like to move away from using FormidablePro, but can’t for at least the next few months.

It isn’t skewing the images or distorting them. It is replacing them with a completely different image. It is doing this on two separate websites (www.birminghamaudubon.org and http://www.alabamabirdingtrails.com). The imports run but replace images with a single image for multiple events.
JoeParticipantI was able to resolve the issue by removing control of the “Home/Blog” in my archives selection. I wasn’t really using it anyway, so it wasn’t an issue for me, but it did take some troubleshooting on the part of the WP-Types folks. The explanation above makes sense. Hope this post helps others.
JoeParticipantFYI, the link is broken as of 4.3, not just the latest version as I thought earlier. I reverted to an older version and it did not resolve.
JoeParticipantPermalinks are set to post name. (/sample-post/) on the Tour West Alabama website.
on the Alabama Birding Trails website where community events is working permalinks are set to http://alabamabirdingtrails.com/2016/10/25/sample-post/
But, permalinks are set to post name on the alabamacommunitiesofexcellence.org website with the same build and things are working there. So it doesn’t appear to be this issue. All sites are located on WP Engine.
I cloned the site to a staging area on WP Engine and now I get the following error (only on staging):
Warning: Missing argument 2 for WP_Router_Page::get_title() in /nas/content/staging/westal2015/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/vendor/wp-router/WP_Router_Page.class.php on line 144When I deactivate the WP-Types Views plugin, the community events plugin works on the test site as well.
JoeParticipantOkay, I see what happened. It was the way the events were entered with start date and end date. The person entering the content got confused over the way the recurring events worked. Thanks for the info.
JoeParticipantI just went under Events>Settings>Display and changed the template from “Default Calendar” to one created by my theme “Full Width” and the issue disappeared. So, for my purposes, consider this closed.
JoeParticipantHi,
I saved Permalink settings to Post: no change. I changed permalink settings to default. No change.
I added the snippet of code to my functions.php file as suggested in the troubleshooting, but I must have pasted something in incorrectly as it crashed the site–after removing it via ftp and replacing it with a file that didn’t contain the code, the site came back up, but the problem persists. Individual events show up fine and so do widgets, but the main event page is 404.
JoeJoeParticipantI reverted to the old plugin. Since I’m retiring this theme from the site in a month or so, it seems pointless to work at making it work. Thanks!
JoeParticipantCould I get a download of the Events Calendar 3.9.2? or whatever the latest version was before the current version?
JoeParticipantHi,
It is very much a theme / plugin conflict. The issue happens when the Listings Theme is activated and Events Calendar is active. It is happening for the Events Calendar. All plugins deactivated other than Events Calendar and problem persists. Deactivate the Events Calendar and all returns to normal. I may just shift back to the last release of these plugins for now unless you have a better solution?
Thanks,
joeJoeParticipantI replaced all the TribeEvents with Tribe__Events__Main and it didn’t bring the slider back to life. Any other ideas? Sorry about pasting the code directly. Happy to provide access to the site should you need it.
