ParticipantHi Cliff,
I don’t want to sound ungrateful for your assistance but the point of my post was that I have tried all these methods that you suggested with no results.
Geoff B through the older thread (link in first post above) got me to the point where prior to this latest release, we had all the Translations and text wording working perfectly but now they are not as described above, since the last update.
An observation I would like to point out, is that if the strings in question are in the translation files, shouldn’t they been reflected on the front end if modified? Which is not happening in this case. I can see that the translation files in the most part are being reflected on the front end, just not these notices in question.
Cheers

ParticipantHi Andras,
Well I now feel like a master at translations (for my translations at least)!
I got them all to work and even moved into theme translations.
Thanks for all the assistance Andras, you can close this thread now as I think I have a good idea of how to do them now and get them working.
Cheers

ParticipantHi Andras,
My apologies for taking so long to get back to you.
Ok, I setup a test site on a localhost and loaded a fresh copy of WordPress 4.5.2, The Events Calendar 4.2, and Event Tickets 4.2. No other plugins were installed.
I setup the basic settings in all the plugins and ensured the language was set to Australian in wordpress. I then made some sample events as I usually would.
I then loaded the modified translation files to my site > wp-content > languages > plugins > event-calendar. Nothing changed! I then moved the po & mo files out of the event-calendar folder and straight into my site > wp-content > languages > plugins and it seems to have worked.
Feeling pleased with myself, I then set up the event ticket translation files and put them in my site > wp-content > languages > plugins but they didn’t take effect.
I’m not sure what the folder structure should be for the event ticket, The Events Calendar PRO or event ticket plus files should be.
Should there be any redundant woo ticket files after the change to event tickets? I noticed on the live site and in the system report above some references to woo tickets or is that just another name for event tickets?
I forgot to add that I checked the permissions on the uploaded language files and they were good at 644.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Cheers

ParticipantHi Josh,
My apologies for my delay in getting back to you, after the Woocommerce update I had a few more pressing issues to fix.
Anyhow, seems because some of my template overrides were out of date, they were causing most of the issues I was experiencing. Now that I have updated them most are working well now.
Thanks for your assistance and please go ahead and close this thread.

ParticipantHi Josh,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Thanks for pointing out my goof! Yes I have an older version of the tickets.php overriding in the child theme.
When I changed the tickets.php for the newer version (I adjusted a couple bits of the “wording” for the front end) I notice on the front end that there is some additional information, which I don’t want showing, as it doesn’t really apply to the way I have my bookings.
So I would like to know how to remove the following
<div class=”tribe-link-tickets-message”> I’ve attached a screen grab from my test site.
Thanks
James

ParticipantJosh,
A thought just occurred to me, is there a way to have the price align to the far right? eg. So you would have ticket name, ticket description and then price.

ParticipantHi Josh,
Thanks for getting back to me.
With regards to the styling, I managed to remove the border via CSS
.tribe-events-tickets tr .tribe-ticket, .tribe-events-tickets tr .tickets_name, .tribe-events-tickets tr .tickets_description {
display: table-cell;
padding: 10px;
width: 33%;
border: 0px solid;
}But the “segments” still seem like they are acting up. I’ve narrowed it down to being the “price” alignment. It seems as though it is stuck in the center as absolute and I can’t find where this is controlled.
The workaround I’m using until I sort this out is shortening the event name and then things do line up.
I did roll back using a backup and everything was fine. Because Avada theme came out at the same time as the Event Calendar I’m not sure which plugin or theme is causing the problem although I did roll back to previous event calendar plugins and once they were reverted things worked.
I’ll workout the translations another time.

ParticipantThanks Hunter,
I hit avada up with the question and see where it takes me. It’s not super important but would be nice to have all the info in sequential order.
Go ahead and close both threads.

ParticipantHi Hunter,
I went through all the support pages looking for an answer to my question and I have read the Themer’s guide several times, I understand how to create custom templates in the sense of putting a copy of the files in my theme or child theme folder.
Your answer above didn’t really answer any part of my question!
I already knew that the code relating to the additional fields (pro plugin) is located in events-calendar-pro > scr > views > pro > modules > meta > additional-fields.php
and the standard code (free plugin) is located in the-events-calendar > scr > views > modules > meta > details.php
But I couldn’t find anything on the support pages to indicate how you can rearrange how this metadata is shown on the single event page, hence why I put in a support ticket.
I’m not a developer or web designer but over the years of using wordpress and event calendar I have a reasonable idea of the back end coding.
If you can help me a little further than a “canned response” I would be appreciative, other wise you can close this ticket, because as I have said I have done as much as I can my end to solve my question myself, but to no avail.
Cheers

ParticipantYou can close this thread George.
I’m going with the “disabled ticket” option. I’ve set it up now using my own confirmation email and it works great! 🙂
Thanks for the help.

ParticipantGeorge, disregard my request for turning off the Ticket email, I found some code on the forum of how to do it, https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/turning-off-one-of-automated-emails/
