ParticipantHi,
I’m just wondering if there is a simple way to reorder the way metadata is displayed in single events.
I want to move the “Other” up under the “Details” section (I’ve attached a screen grab of my single event metadata, note that I have changed the names, so I’m wanting to move “Activity Details” up under “When & Cost”)
To view full single event example
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Cheers
James

ModeratorHey James,
Welcome back 🙂
Our Themer’s Guide does a great job of providing examples on how to create custom templates. If you have any specific questions after running through that guide, feel free to respond and I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
Have a good rest of your weekend and thanks for reaching out!

ParticipantHi Hunter,
I went through all the support pages looking for an answer to my question and I have read the Themer’s guide several times, I understand how to create custom templates in the sense of putting a copy of the files in my theme or child theme folder.
Your answer above didn’t really answer any part of my question!
I already knew that the code relating to the additional fields (pro plugin) is located in events-calendar-pro > scr > views > pro > modules > meta > additional-fields.php
and the standard code (free plugin) is located in the-events-calendar > scr > views > modules > meta > details.php
But I couldn’t find anything on the support pages to indicate how you can rearrange how this metadata is shown on the single event page, hence why I put in a support ticket.
I’m not a developer or web designer but over the years of using wordpress and event calendar I have a reasonable idea of the back end coding.
If you can help me a little further than a “canned response” I would be appreciative, other wise you can close this ticket, because as I have said I have done as much as I can my end to solve my question myself, but to no avail.
Cheers
James

ModeratorHey James,
Thank you for your patience. My sincerest apologies if my answer came off as “canned.” It appears you’re using the Avada theme which has customizations pre-built into it for our plugin. I’m not sure I’m able to support you here as I don’t have a copy of the Avada theme. If you haven’t already, you may want to try contacting the Avada support to see if they have any insight on how to go about moving the meta sections to your liking.
I wish I had a better answer for you but unfortunately, theme customizations are outside the scope we’re able to provide per forum rules. Good luck with the coding and have a good week.

ParticipantThanks Hunter,
I hit avada up with the question and see where it takes me. It’s not super important but would be nice to have all the info in sequential order.
Go ahead and close both threads.
Cheers
