Just so we’re clear, it’s not that the data isn’t being generated. All the plumbing seems fine, it’s just not displaying properly on the “view attendees” page.

It’s not happening with any other events, but so far as I know, this is the only event that has been setup for RSVPs and no tickets. The CSV export is also not working for this particular event. However, when I send the attendees list via email (using the “email” button), it sends the complete list with the pertinent data.

We’re in the middle of a project to migrate to a different membership plugin for the site, so it may be a few days before I can get through all the conflict testing nonsense.

    THAT WAS IT.

If anybody else is having this issue, I recommend doing a find in your project for “date_default_timezone_set”.

So, now I don’t have to delete/recreate every recurring event, just the recurrences.

Is there any way to find only the events that are recurring?

I removed all recurrences, saved, reloaded today’s instance of the event on the front page — it showed the info for the first (now only) occurrence of the event. I added the recurrence back to the event, saved, reloaded today’s instance of the event, and the DST hour-off bug is still there.

Also also, we had to delete and re-add these events when DST ended last year, because of the same type of problem (off by an hour). This really needs to be fixed. If I have to do this again when DST ends this year, I’m going to be very angry.

Will we lose past events by changing the start date?

Also, some clarification on what you’re asking:
Just remove the recurrence schedule from the event? Then save? Then add the recurrence schedule back and save?

Also, on the staging site, I checked the box to append the timezone to the events on the website. As I go back and forth across the CST/CDT line, the appended timezones are correct, just the times are not.

Sure. This event should be 11:30-1, and is saved as such in the admin. But as you can see, it displays incorrect start/end times on the website: https://nashvillecable.org/event/powerconnect-donelson/2018-03-16/

OK. So, we actually had two other events suffering from the same bug. And both of those events also spanned from am-pm. So, I’m guessing that’s where the issue is. I recreated each event with a start date after Standard Time, and they display the correct time now.

So, time change + event spanning am/pm divide seems to be causing the problem, at least on our site.

FYI, trashing the event and creating a new one starting today “fixed” the issue. We lost all past events, which is a shame, but not a disaster.

I already switched to ETP, but thanks for the headsup.

I understand you can only support current versions.

I plan on upgrading this site to Events Tickets/Events Tickets Plus. I appreciate what you’ve done bringing various plugins into one to simplify the process and reduce the price of changing providers on the client end. And you guys make a really good product. I don’t think this is unfair at all.

Here’s my issue. You said, “WooCommerce Tickets will not work with versions of The Events Calendar like 4.1.2, etc., which you are using.”

Which means you know that WooCommerce Tickets no longer works with the versions of The Events Calendar that are out. Yet none of the release notes going all the way back to release of the new ticketing plugins mention breaking WooCommerce Tickets functionality/compatibility.

Again, I don’t think it’s unreasonable that it broke. That’s totally understandable. It was always only a matter of time before it did. What is disappointing, though, and very frustrating, is that you seem to know you’ve broken it, but I can’t find any hint of it in the release notes or any other communication.

I read release notes and test every update for every plugin for site breakage in a staging environment prior to deployment to production. Unfortunately, issues like this don’t break sites, just functionality, so they’re hard to catch — unless they’re in the release notes. And I know it’s entirely possible it wasn’t caught by the product team until after release. But in that case, some mention of it somewhere, either via email or blog post or a later version release note, would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not trying to bust any balls here. You guys are making a really good product, and I’m glad for the changes. I just want to let you know how I feel about the lack of communication regarding breaking compatibility with a product that’s still in use by customers.

I just searched through release notes for the last several releases, as available here: https://theeventscalendar.com/category/products/release-notes/

And I could still find no mention of breaking compatibility with the WooCommerce tickets plugin. No mention at all of the plugin for the last several releases. Is there some other place it was announced that I missed?
