ParticipantHi! So I tried it, but the problem is that all of my existing event posts that were designed when the forced margins were in place end up with the content all squished off to the sides.
Is there a way to apply the CSS only to new posts after today? Thanks! ๐
Jennifer
ParticipantOk, thank you – I’ll try it out and let you know how it goes – thanks! ๐

ParticipantHi! Unfortunately, thatโs not quite what I was asking about. If you click into one of the events, thatโs where I want full width.
Youโre video is looking at the events listing view. If you can click into an actual event and let me know why I cannot go full-width there – thatโs what Iโm looking to resolve please.
Thanks! ๐

ParticipantThanks for the honest reply! It is appreciated. Your plugin does a lot of things REALLY WELL, which is part of why our evaluation is taking so long. It’s just that it requires so many other tools to tie into it, that when we have to train someone new, it’s really hard for them to pick up. But I’ve got you installed on several client sites where it shall stay because of the nature of those events. But for some of more complex clients, we might have to move. Thanks again for the reply – much appreciated!

ParticipantNever mind. A few minutes after I updated Tribe, WP told me it needed to be updated again, and that seems to have fixed it. Weird.

ParticipantWell, in theory, dropping these codes in “should” work, but the CSV export plugin is not picking them up.
I noticed that for event info, like _EventStartDate, the plugin appended the front of that code with “cf”. I tried adding CF in front of the Venue codes, but it still doesn’t work. And it does not look like the plugin offers support anymore.
Any idea if there should be some other prefix in front of the field names so they get picked up by the CSV exporter? Can you recommend any other CSV exporters? Thanks!
Jennifer
ParticipantNo worries George – as the threads get longer, the more confusing they can be. I will take a look at the info you provided and let you know if I have any questions. Thank you! ๐

ParticipantHi! The site did go live – http://www.nhaa.net. Let me know what you find? Thanks!
Jennifer
ParticipantHi George! I know how to add the custom fields. I just need someone at Tribe to tell me the field names (e.g., “EventStartDate”). You don’t know what you’re on field names are?
Jennifer
ParticipantI tried dropping this into my Custom CSS: .tribe_events_list_widget h5, but nothing changed. Can you be a little more specific on what I need to do here? I don’t want to change the size of my H3 site wide – I just want my tribe widget titles to be smaller. Thanks!

ParticipantHi! No, this is backwards. I’m not trying to import into The Events Calendar. I’m trying to export OUT of the Events Calendar.
Someone in this thread previously suggested that I use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-csv/
When I use the exporter, it only exports the following fields:
wp_post_title,wp_post_author,cf__EventStartDate,cf__EventOrganizerID,cf__EventURLThose are not the fields I need. But if I had a map to show me similar codes to these for the fields that I want to export, then maybe this plugin would work.
The most important fields I’m looking to export are:
1) Event Date
2) Event Name
3) Event City (from the Venue)The CSV export automatically grabbed cf__EventStartDate – that covers #1 on my list above. And I believe #2, Event Name, is wp_post_title. But what’s the field code for “City” from the venue list so I can grab that too? I need to tell this plugin that I want that field, but I don’t know what the code for it is.
Does that make sense now? Thanks! ๐
Jennifer
ParticipantAwesome – that worked!
Now is there a way I can change the size of the widget title font? I think it’s pulling from H3 right now, but it’s a bit big – widgets in the sidebar columns fill up fast. Any suggestions? Thanks! ๐

ParticipantOk, so the CSV exporter might work with Google Sheets. But how do I figure out the codes for the fields to include in my export.
It populated itself with these:
wp_post_title,wp_post_author,cf__EventStartDate,cf__EventOrganizerID,cf__EventURLHow can I identify the codes for the other fields from Tribe that I want to include in the export? Thanks!
Jennifer
Participantsadly, Google Sheets isn’t working either – I try to import the XLM and get this:

ParticipantThanks George. We use Excel, but we’re on Macs and XML won’t come into Excel on a Mac. I’ll check out the Google docs thing.
The challenge is that we’re exporting 3 months worth of events – which is probably over 100 events easily. Having to do all this sorting and data mapping to pull a report together that makes sense to the Director of our North American Division is a hugely time-consuming, manual effort. And one that we will need to repeat quarterly. So none of this is good news.
Do you guys have any plans to build in reporting tools? Sure hope so…. Thanks…
