Also, as I’ve said I’m running this on two entirely different WordPress sites with Disqus and Events Calendar. Disabling things does not resolve my issue or I wouldn’t keep replying to this. I know the basic trouble shooting steps, thanks.

Hey, Hunter, that’s fine, sir. Yes, I do have the current version installed on my other site. Same issue.
I’ll remember Events Calendar’s “it’s your problem, not ours” response when you ask me to shell out hundreds of dollars to renew my license for your plugin. I am telling you that I am having a problem and you’re telling me, TS. That’s fine. You can direct me to your manager and I’ll be happy to tell him or her Events Calendar isn’t getting any more of my money either. I also am part of the Society of Professional Journalists, which includes small news publishers, and Local Independent Online News Publishers. I’ll be sure to let them know that your plugin created a problem that is disruptive to my business and when I went looking for a fix someone read me the terms of service explaining how that isn’t their problem. I’m sure my fellow entrepreneurs and small business owners – people who run every aspect of their company and don’t always have time to trouble shoot things they’ve paid hundreds of dollars for – will love to hear that. You’re well on your way to losing a customer you’ve had for two years because of this attitude and response.

It isn’t just with Disqus. AS I believe I said in an earlier post, it’s also with my default wordpress comments. The fault lies with Events calendar, not Disqus.

Abandoning Disqus is no more an option than abandoning Events Calendar is at this point. Either way I’ll lose tons of data and make my customers angry.

I spent hundreds of dollars on Events Calendar. Disqus is free. I am holding Events Calendar more accountable since 1) This is obviously an issue with Events Calendar and not Disqus, since it also affects my default comments and 2) I paid money for it.

I think Events Calendar is obligated to take this a little more seriously, under the circumstances.

Just to update. The new Events Calendar update was installed, but failed to resolve this issue. I have deactivated it on one site and I am using an older version for my other site. I am unsure of how to send you information about bugs and whatnot. You have to forgive me, but I’m not very tech savvy at all and as a small business owner with a billion other things to do, it’s more than I can put on my plate at the moment. IF there’s an easy way to send you this info I will, but I don’t have all day to mess with it.

Can you please let me know when the next maintenance release is expected? Thank you.

PS Your plugin is in conflict with other themes as well, not just mine. This is a very troubling development for my site. Both disqus and Events Calendar are critical to my revenue stream, and I have made a sizeable investment in your plugin. I hope this problem is fixed without further delay. In the meantime, I am going to begin the process of downgrading to an older version in the hopes that fixes these issues temporarily.

In addition to the above, I disabled disqus. It appears Events Calendar is also interfering with my default comments system on my sites as well as the third-party plugin. Events Calendar appears to be causing a major problem with my site. If this can’t be resolved I would like a refund so I can purchase another calendar plugin with support to help me work through these issues. I depend on both of these functions to generate revenue for my sites.

You indicated in Twitter you need more information. I run your plugin on two sites with entirely different themes. In both instances, the plugin is blocking my disqus comments. This started happening after your most recent update.

I’m not sure what else you need or require from me, but I know I’m not the only user reporting this issue so i think it’s obviously something occurring on your end and not mine. I would appreciate it if you would fix this issue. I need comments and I need my events calendar. I paid a substantial amount of money for the events calendar plugin and I expected more timely support than what I am receiving.

I noticed other users are reporting the same issue …

That has resolved the issue. Thank you for getting back to me. I would appreciate an email support option.

Why has no one responded to this?

My plugin will not update, currently, due to this issue. I paid for the license keys and I expect to be able to use them. Please fix this immediately.

Brian, I don’t know what happened exactly, but Tribe did release another update and it quickly resolved my issue. Thank you for being responsive. I was breaking a sweat there for a split second!

I tried all the widgets and was finally able to get the upcoming events to display but that’s the only one. It is not as tidy as the Events Calendar widget, but it will have to do for now until someone at Tribe helps me find a resolution to my issue.

I did notice one of my keys was out of date (I didn’t get a notice for it, which is strange.) I purchased my key to see if that would fix the issue, but no dice.
