ParticipantJust wanted to chime in and say I’m seeing the same issue.
I’ve been testing the Events Tickets (free) and Events Tickets Plus and am experiencing the same issue. Confirmation emails are not being sent.

ParticipantHi George,
You da man! That cleared up the %20 errors.
I have a few more questions, hope you don’t mind.
- Do you know if it’s possible to allow
<strong></strong>to display in that excerpt popup as well? It would be nice if my bolded text carried over. - In that hover window, if you don’t define an excerpt via the excerpt meta box on the edit event page it just grabs the first bit of text it sees. It then just cuts it off with no ellipsis to indicate to click to continue reading. Is that something that’s possible to add?
- If I want to move the tribe-events-event-thumb in that popup is there a specific template that is controlling this, or should I just use CSS?
- Is there a setting that I missed that stops the feature image from cropping in that pop-up window? Right now it’s cropping to 150 x 150 I don’t want it to crop at all.
Cheers!
Amber
ParticipantI George,
Thanks for the reply. The content in the tables are basically time schedules. (ie.e wake-up: 7:00 – 8:00 am, classroom: 9:00 – 4:00 pm)
The shortcode looks like this (sample from one of the tables):
[vc_table allow_html="1"],[b;align-center]Group%20A,[b;align-center]Group%20B,[b;align-center]Group%20C|[b]Arrival%20Time,[align-center]12%3A15%20%E2%80%93%201%3A00%20pm,[align-center]1%3A45%20%E2%80%93%202%3A30%20pm,[align-center]3%3A15%20%E2%80%93%204%3A00%20pm|[b]Parent%2FStudent%20Meeting,[align-center]1%3A00%20%E2%80%93%201%3A15%20pm,[align-center]2%3A30%20%E2%80%93%202%3A45%20pm,[align-center]4%3A00%20%E2%80%93%204%3A15%20pm|[b]Get%20Suited%20Up,[align-center]1%3A15%20%E2%80%93%201%3A45%20pm,[align-center]2%3A45%20%E2%80%93%203%3A15%20pm,[align-center]4%3A15%20%E2%80%93%204%3A45%20pm|[b]On-Ice,[align-center]1%3A45%20%E2%80%93%203%3A00%20pm,[align-center]3%3A15%20%E2%80%93%204%3A30%20pm,[align-center]4%3A45%20%E2%80%93%206%3A00%20pm[/vc_table]Even though the table shows %20 etc. when not viewed with visual composer, it doesn’t project that way on VC enabled pages. ECP appears to just grab all the text it can and that also includes the %20.
If you manage to make a snippet that fixes that would be amazing. 🙂
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for the reply. I was starting to wonder why I hadn’t had a response in awhile. Oh well, technical hiccups happen.
I don’t remember seeing the warning prompt but I just tested it again and you’re right. My brain must have been on autopilot and just dismissed it. It seems silly that there would even be an “Edit Single” option for recurring events if this is the case.
Was this always how the plugin functioned because I could have sworn at one point we were able to “Edit Single” and change the text for a single event in a recurring series without it breaking the chain.

ParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for getting back to me. I’m just going to check with Kriesi’s support team about how it’s calling the countdown function.
I do understand that if a feature is built into the theme to check with the vendor first. I did that and was advised it was a change in the EC 3.x coding that stopped the functionality I mentioned; hence why I’m here.
Thanks for looking into this for me. 🙂

ParticipantHi Barry,
Just wanted to do a quick follow up. After updating to 3.2 it appears *knockonwood* that this issue has resolved it self on my testing environments. So hopefully for the others that had the same problem 3.2 will smooth out whatever caused this hiccup.Amber
ParticipantHi Barry,
I have tried it on my own server (have dedicated via Singlehop) a shared server (JustHost), and local environment (using DesktopServer). All fresh installs all come back with the same issue. It is very weird; especially since it appears I’m not the only one with the issue as per paulpetch above.
Did your collegue follow these exact steps to replicate the issue?Create A New Recuring Even (do not assign a featured image or category)
Assign 11-07-2013 as Start/End Date and 8am – 5pm as time.
Set "Recurrence" to "Custom"
Set "and will end" to "On" 12-13-2013
Set "Frequency" to "weekly"
Set "Every" to "1" Week(s)
Tick "Friday" and Publish and there will be 7 recurring events
Edit the first event in the chain, set a featured image, and update all events
Go back to "Events" and count the events; there is now only 6 recurring events for that chain. Thanks
Amber
ParticipantHi Barry,
No, that’s not what is causing the issue. I’m being sure to edit only the first event in the chain so the events are not getting broken apart, they are literally disappearing.
Amber
ParticipantHi Barry,
I’ve been playing with this to see if it’s an isolated incident however I can replicate the issue on a fresh install (test environment), running with no plugins, and Twenty Twelve. If you set a recurring event and then go back and edit, for example, the featured image and “update” all. Events start disappearing until I re-set the recurrence “will end on” date. Just as a bit of extra info, in both these cases, I’m using recurrence custom frequency weekly.
Here is the info from my test environment (since that was using a fresh install):
