ParticipantNeed to add one more request here. The look of the single event post in thesis isn’t the best. http://sustainableelements.ca/se/event/globe-2012-welcome-reception/
I think it will improve with the ability to remove one of the two default sidebars from the single event post. I found a way to do it courtesy of the guys at Thesis but I don’t know how to direct it to work for the single event post type as opposed to home. Any chance you guys could direct me how to change the reference in the code in the following link.
http://diythemes.com/thesis/rtfm/one-sidebar-certain-pages-only/Thanks guys! Oh and I checked out the images for the conference add-on….absolutely amazing!! Wish I could get my hands on it ASAP for some thing next week but looks like I’ll need to hang tight till the summer.

ParticipantOk for the next trick….looks like everything work perfectly until you get to a month that doesn’t have an event
http://sustainableelements.ca/se/test/2012-04/
Sounds similar to an issue I saw brought up in a different thread .Ideas, thoughts, snippets of code?
Carlos
ParticipantLeonard that works great! So I’ll have to be the first to ask….care to share the code you used to pull that off 😉 ?
Carlos
ParticipantJonah tell the tri.be guys you need a raise!! You just made my day. The code works perfectly in Thesis 1.83 (better work when DIY finally releases V2) and ECP 2.04.
Hey is it still possible to get in on the community plugin beta testing? I have gravity forms but if you guys have an in house plugin I’d rather go that route.
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks for the guidance Christina! What you found is most likely a consequence of my site using Thesis theme. The guys at ECP are working their way through some templates for Thesis which should allow me to place your code where I ts meant to be.
I revisited your site and noticed your drop down is actually being used to redirect the user to a different webpage within your site and you have a clickable list for filtering the Calendar. From what I see in the code you sent me, the dropdown it creates is used to filter the calendar. Am I correct? The list works really well I can see why you used it. I’m in a similar situation where I’m using multiple categories per entry.Anyone know if there is a way to filter the calendar by Venue, City, or Organization?
Rob any chance the drop downs will come as a widget in 2.1?
Thank you everyone for helping out the noob!
Carlos
ParticipantThanks Christina. That’s what I thought but wasn’t sure.
Added the longer of the 2 codes as a custom widget in my sidebar, but it’s returning an odd error.
I’ve left it in place if you want to take a peek as it may be something you encountered before. Basically some of the php is displaying above the drop down as text and the drop down itself says “name>?”http://sustainableelements.ca/se/test/2012-03/
With the two tone coloring, have you just assigned an event to more than one category to achieve this?
Really appreciate the help!
CCarlos
ParticipantThanks Christina!
A totally noob question, but in which file do you put the code?Checked out the site u gave as a demo…looks Great! Obviously off topic, but how did u do the double color formatting on the event calendar entries?
Carlos
ParticipantHey Leonard, Any chance of a user tutorial or some more detail for the non developers? I’m itching to get this on my site.
Thanks
CCarlos
ParticipantThanks for the info Nathan! Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. Checked out your site (looks great btw) and it looks like you have the same issue as I do. Looking forward to a solution from the ECP guys 🙂
Carlos
ParticipantThanks for being on top of this guys! The grid.php file is from the batch of files to make ECP 1.X work with Thesis. I’m no longer using them, which I’ve determined is exactly the reason why ECP 2 now works for the most part in Thesis. So which f the ECP 2 .php files would I find the buttons ?
Thanks!
CCarlos
ParticipantUpdate! Looks like the old “delete all the plugins and update with the latest version” worked. Double rendering now fixed 🙂
However maybe the ECP crew could direct me to where I would find the CSS that dictates where the Event and Calendar page buttons are positioned. See http://sustainableelements.ca/se/test/ …you’ll see how the buttons stack on top of the selector.
Thesis also has a page template for “no sidebars” . I selected it in both my “Test” page (where I’m testing ECP) template selector and in the ECP settings. for some reason ECP won’t use it (Thesis uses the tempalte for other pages with no issue) and defaults to the page default (2 sidebars). If I select ECPs default page template in ECP settings, ECP uses it with no problem overriding the template chosen on the Test page. Obviously seems to be a compatibility thing between Thesis and ECP such that ECP is not recognizing Thesis’ templates. Ideas how to fix this or where/how I can hardcode the template for ECP to use ?
Carlos
ParticipantThanks Jonah! Looks like that plugin is broken. My intent is to compile events from several sources with as little maintenance and heavy lifting as possible.
Carlos
ParticipantJust to clarify, I’m having the same issue as Albert with the doubling. Tried selecting different page templates with no luck. Also seems that the issue only occurs on the calendar view. The event view is fine. Really need a resolution to this, have a project that needs to get launched and the calendar is a critical piece of it.
So you can see what’s happening
Carlos
ParticipantVery interested to see what happens with this…I’m in a similar situation
Thanks
