    Barry,
Thanks for being in touch I currently had to revert to an old version, because now it just has to work. I will follow your steps for the update once my event is over. Hopefully it will go smoothly.

Looks like my problem was that everything wasn’t at 2.0.8, when I got everything on that version it seemed to work fine.

I am using Thesis 1.8.5, WordPress 3.4.1, The Events Calendar Plugin is 2.0.8, and my Events Calendar Pro is version 2.0.7.

Guess I found the shortcode for posting code, but it still didn’t paste everything. I apologize for the amateur hour on posting here, but I am not sure of the best way to share the contents of this page with you in order to know if there is something wrong with the, “ecp-page-template.php” file I have in place? If you have any suggestions please let me know.
    Thanks,

    Joyce,
I tried to copy and paste that code in here, but it didn’t paste correctly. I am not sure of what the code pasting shortcode is on this forum, so I am sorry for it looking like a mess.

    Joyce,
I am currently running “WordPress 3.4,” and my template is “Thesis 1.8.5.” I just recently updated that template this week. I currently have, “/%category%/%postname%” set up as my custom permalink structure. Also the, “No Sidebars” template came with the theme.

I briefly read through your given links from earlier. But, I am not sure really what to make of them yet. Because ideally I would like to create a custom template for it, but I am not sure if it will read it when I set it up in the “Template” tab. Because right now it seems to only be reading the “Default Page” or the “Default Event” templates.

I am going to post what my “ecp-page-template.php” has written in it. Because based on what I read this is what the, “Default Event” template is using, correct? Can you tell me if anything in here looks incorrect?

I will read through that “Genesis” theme link that you posted on here.

    Joyce,
I will read through those links that you posted.

When I switched it to the “Default Events Template” the “Calendar and Event” pages where totally stripped of the theme’s styling. I didn’t have a header, navigation, or footer just a blank page with a calendar or a post. I have a feeling the “Default Events Template” is not supposed to do that?

    Jonah,
I ran the debugger and it gave me a bunch of information that I really didn’t understand.
So, after that I just decided to restart on loading the theme. Then I was able to get the “Calendar and Event List” to show up correctly. After I re-installed the “Thesis 1.8.5” theme I added back in my “Custom Files.” Then after that I had to replace the “Classes” folder in my “Lib” folder in order to get it to work.

    Jonah,
I have not done that, thanks for providing another option to try and troubleshoot this. I will be back in touch when I run the debugger and let you know what I find.

    Jonah,
    That kinda hurts man.

The reason I bought the upgrade was because of a posting excerpt issue, and the Google Maps link wasn’t working. Now after getting the upgrade I’m even further away then I was before paying for an upgrade.

I really need some more help then to just start chucking code from my custom files. Is there anyway you can at least point me at what file(s) might be causing it to act like this?

    Please help,
    Carter

    Jonah,
I just made the upgrade to “Thesis 1.8.5” this was the most recent upgrade I saw when I logged into DIY Themes. When I initially loaded this theme the plugin worked.

However, when I moved my custom files over I was back to the same result, of it rendering a theme with-in a theme. I am not really sure what is causing the plugin to act like this? If you have any idea of what it is or need more information please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Carter

    Jonah,
I have tired turning all of my plugins off and switching to the “2011” theme. When I turned all of my plugins off I still had issues, but when I switched themes the plugin worked.

I will try updating to the “Thesis 1.8.3” version, later this evening or tomorrow and see if I get better results.
