Thank you for getting back to me.

I am currently using a Child Theme and was wondering if I would need to copy and paste the edited code into the parent theme? If so, I have used the FTP client ‘CyberDuck’ to locate the file and noticed the Child and Parent theme does not have the wp-content\themes\{your-theme}\tribe-events\modules\meta\organizer.php for some strange reason?

Is it possible to create a plugin using the code and upload the script to wordpress directly via the dashboard?

    Good Evening George,

Thanks so much, the pro add-on has fixed the problem. The organisers details are displaying again on the site. I am very grateful for your help and support.

    Brilliant work.

    Kind Regards

    Hanna

    Hi Gorge,

I am so puzzled, I have searched the forms for an answer but can not find one. Some have reported that the same fields are missing but I can’t seem to find a quick fix, as it seems to be a bug, like you said.

On the brighter side, I have re-purchased a new licence key which seemed to have fixed the problem I was experiencing with the community events add-on (thank goodness).

However the organisers name field is still missing from the events calendar itself? If I reinstall the latest update and overwrite, will I loose any of the content on my events calendar? I have over 500 events added and would cry if I have to manually input them again.

    Hi Gorge,

My website was supposed to have launch 2 weeks ago and I am now pushing for time not to mention loosing customers. I have gone through the trouble shooters as I have previously informed your colleague.

I have deactivated all the plugins expect for The Events Calendar and Community Events plugin, whilst the Twenty Sixteen theme was installed. I am still seeing the same issue regardless of the theme activated, if any plugins were deactivate or activated the problem is still there!

I have now reactivated my theme and the rest of the plugins, the Organisers name is missing now from the events calendar. I can see from the your forum that there have been a number of people experiencing or have experienced the same problem and none of their problems seem to have solved, tickets closed with out a solution or result.

I have copied and pasted the few I found below:

Required Fields for Events Submission Form

    Data Fields Missing

    Community Events browser conflicts??

Date and time fields missing in Add/Edit Event form

I would like the opportunity to purchase another license key for the community events add-on but I am a little hesitant on purchasing another key before the situation is fixed, just incase the problem gets worse.

As discussed this has happened since the 4.0.4 update and license key expiring, I have had no previous problems with the calendar or add-on up until then.

I was wondering if updating the plugin will correct this issue?

    Hi George,

Thank you for getting back to me, I really appreciate it.

Before we proceed I would like to address an on-going problem with The Event Calendar, the other thread was closed before the issue was resolved.

I am currently using both The ‘Event Calendar’ and ‘Community Events’ on my website, since your last update I have been experiencing problems.

When users try to access the Community Events front-end submission form it displays a blank page with a ‘Server Error 500’, The website encountered an error while retrieving http://thepresstent.com/event/community/add. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

I have checked the Error Logs and I am getting this message:

    mod_fcgid: stderr: WordPress database error Unknown column ‘wp_postmeta.meta_value’ in ‘field list’ for query SELECT DISTINCT wp_posts.*, MIN(wp_postmeta.meta_value) as EventStartDate, MIN(tribe_event_end_date.meta_value) as EventEndDate FROM wp_posts LEFT JOIN wp_postmeta as tribe_event_end_date ON ( wp_posts.ID = tribe_event_end_date.post_id AND tribe_event_end_date.meta_key = ‘_EventEndDate’ ) WHERE 1=1 AND wp_posts.post_type = ‘tribe_events’ AND (wp_posts.post_status = ‘publish’ OR wp_posts.post_status = ‘pending’ OR wp_posts.post_status = ‘completed’ OR wp_posts.post_status = ‘failed’ OR wp_posts.post_status = ‘refunded’ OR wp_posts.post_status = ‘advert-pending’ OR wp_posts.post_status = ‘private’) ORDER BY EventStartDate DESC, wp_posts.post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 1 made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), wp, WP->main, WP->query_posts, WP_Query->query, WP_Query->get_posts,

I have been told that the meta_value field in the wp_postmeta column in the database can not be found which is causing the issue.

I have never had a problem with The Events Calendar or Community events before updating to current version 4.0.4. I was wondering if I purchase a new licence key for updates and support, can the problem be fixed?

I have tried to update my licence key through this url here https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/
