nellyParticipantHi Barry,
That was the first thing I checked…unfortunately the WordPress timezone setting was correct http://puu.sh/4YWMo.png
nellyParticipantNot sure what I was writing when I said “this is a different” lol. Ignore that
nellyParticipantHi Barry,
we have tested it on a development server http://bktest.staticshiftwebdevelopment.com.au/blog/testing-event-calendar/ with all plugins except Events Calendar, Pro & Community. This is a different and also Twenty Twelve as the theme.
WP Super Cache has been completely deleted and it\’s associated code deleted from the .htaccess file.
Still the issue is occurring unfortunately
nellyParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for your response.
The events aren’t long-running. It’s just showing the events for the whole day. See screenshot for example http://puu.sh/4W5uk.png it is showing Monday 21st October, but it is actually taken at 9:55am Tuesday 22nd October.
I have just discovered the exact time that it changes is 10am Brisbane time (as I assumed). Brisbane is UTC+10, so it is changing at midnight in UTC time instead of Brisbane time.
We have Cloudflare running and also WP SuperCache, however I really do not believe that this is a caching issue judging by the fact that it is changing exactly 10 hours later.
Appreciate your help 🙂
ThanksnellyParticipantThanks for getting back to me Julie
This is a real shame, as it’s almost a perfect plugin. We just migrated from Event Manager plugin and we are using WP Touch so we need to find a solution. If anyone else has come up with a fix please let me know.
In the meantime we will look into creating our own solution and post back here for others if we find one.
December 11, 2012 at 11:21 pm in reply to: Ongoing MYSQL Query causing extremely slow site – URGENT ISSUE #29288nellyParticipantThanks Barry I sent through an email earlier
nellyParticipantThanks for that Barry. I was hoping to keep away from using the URL, but it looks like it’s the best way until you guys have implemented the fix for tribe_is_upcoming(). I will revisit this again then.
For anyone else that comes across this problem here is the workaround I’ve used:
<?php
$uri = $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];
$uri_array = split("/",$uri);
$uri_first = $uri_array[1]; // might need to change this to [1]
?>
<?php if ($uri_first == 'event-list-page-here'){ ?>
<?php require_once(ABSPATH. '/wp-content/wptouch-data/themes/classic-child-1/iphone/list.php'); ?>
<?php } else { ?>
Thanks
nellyParticipantSorry for all the posts, just thought it would help if you knew what I’d tried. I also just tried
if(tribe_is_upcoming()){
This adds “template here” for all of the pages also.nellyParticipantThe first one I tried was:
if ( (get_post_type() == 'tribe_events' && tribe_is_upcoming() )
nellyParticipantsorry, just realisedit doesn’t like the greater than sign with php. One more try 🙂
<?php
if ( (get_post_type() == 'tribe_events' && tribe_is_upcoming() && !is_single() && !is_page('things-to-do-in-brisbane-with-kids'))) { ?>
Template here
<?php } else { ?>nellyParticipantNot sure what happened with the first code block. This is the code below that I tried first:
list.php Template here
Blog loop here
nellyParticipantThanks for the reply. I don’t think the site I mentioned was using the Tribe calendar, but they were displaying events as I wanted. Thanks for the showcase forum tip. I’ve found somebody doing it almost straight away 🙂
http://www.pendletonwhisky.com/events/upcoming/Now I know it can be done. I just need to work out how to actually do it.
If anyone has done it in the past, please let me know. In the meantime I will get back to trying to solve it
May 10, 2012 at 3:50 am in reply to: Events Calendar Pro – when activated the calendar loading jus times out #18976nellyParticipantHi Jonah,
Yes apart from the checking the server has enough memory (which I am doing now as I type) I have done all those other steps. We also had an issue last week with our hosting where they sent this message to us, I am not sure if this is linked to the calendar as it all happened about the same time. (can i email it to you instead of posting)Are you able to help me further please.
