ParticipantHi Shelby,
thanks for answer.
I just imported once again the testfiles: Unfortunately same issue in English Version – please have a look on our dev environment.
See “Birthday Party, 25. June,15:30” from testfile, clicking “Veranstaltungen”, then “Veranstaltungen und Terminkalender”.Cheers,
Hans-Gerd-

ParticipantHi Shelby,
thanks for answer.Testing for conflicts I carry out the following steps as described on our dev environment (please see link in private message):
- Switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme
- Disable all plugins except Tribe Events plugins
- Importing sample data
- Clearing browser cache, and retest.
Unfortunately the issue couldn’t be solved (see attached screenshot)
I could solve the issue by carry out the following SQL query:
UPDATE wp_postmeta SET meta_value = '1' WHERE meta_key LIKE '%_EventShowMap%' AND meta_value='no'But this is of course not a satisfyingly solution.

ParticipantHi Andras,
What I can definitely do is submit a feature request for the option you outlined above and if the team sees it as worthwhile, then it might get implemented.
wonderful – for my opinion it would be the best solution 🙂

ParticipantHi Andras,
thanks for your advice. All you need to do is a template override for this file:
wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar-community-events\src\views\community\modules\taxonomy.php
I have try to activate taxonomy.php from previous release with check boxes in child theme, but without success (the form will not be shown in suitable kind).
It would be very nice if you could give me in addition a tip.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Andras,
thanks a lot.
I will try it next days.Would it be a nice idea, to solve the issue in the future by an option in settings ?
Possibly in this kind:
“Using check boxes to indicate categories and tags instead of autocomplete select field ?”Cheers,

ParticipantHi Andras,

ParticipantHi Barry,
I’m just a little confused: I see only one string opening your link: “Search from existing categories”But there have to be two strings – see screenshot above:
“Search from existing categories” = “Suche in existierenden Kategorien” (this exist) and
“Search from existing tags” = “Suche in existierenden Schlagwörtern”Cheers,
Hans-GerdHans-Gerd
ParticipantHi,
just found an similar issue:
The same term “search for existing categories” is used also for tags. Missing in POT-File.
See screenshotCheers,

ParticipantHi Barry,
no, we will upgrade to the newest version after solving the issues. The issue with translations we have solved on our website, but there is another issue regarding our customized version. But also I think choosing many categories by listbox is a more inconvenient solution than choosing categories by checkboxes.
