Attached is a screenshot of the page with multiple listings of Merchant of Venice. The only time this event should be on for this date is at 7:30pm. As you can see in the event creation screenshot there is only one time created for the 25th. Screenshot 3 is of the duplicate events created in the backend even though they are not actually listed on the event.

If I comment out that line from Functions.php you are right it will still show up array but that is because in the template it is calling the array to be output.

I missed turning off the debug so I have deactivated it now. Thank you for pointing this out.
I also have run the Theme Check plugin over the theme to look at any problems and depreciation. I have fixed any little things that came up.In my link I didn’t add the exact page that was having an issue.
Because I am calling a special item that is written in my theme’s function file it is not going to show up when switching themes to test for problems. I have deactivated all plugins except for events calendar but the page still only shows – “Array”
I change the selection and it does add event lists on all the days on the mini calendar. This is not a great solution for the site I am working on as it impacts the display of the other pages so I need to leave it unticked.
I will let my client know it’s a bug and you guys are looking into a solution.Hi Barry
I reverted to twenty thirteen and deactivated all the plugins but it still is doing the same thing. I also tested it with twenty twelve and it also doesn’t show events on the certain days.I have upgraded the plugins to the latest version. It still is not updating the mini calendar. The weird thing is when I visit this link – http://theatrenow.com.au/all-events/month/ the mini calendar updates and shows correctly that there are events on every day. But when on any other page the mini calendar does not display correctly.

8th April is showing no events, from the 7th – 30th May is showing nothing for example. As you keep clicking through the mini calendar it show days with nothing on.
Currently there are 9 events listed on the 8th April in the back, the events are not listed as drafts or private. Hide from event listing is not checked.
My client has been marking the start and finish time as the same because he is not sure of the run time. I thought this might be the reason and it could be breaking something but when changing one of the events to have a 3hr run time it didn’t make it show up on the calendar.Looks like there was a problem in my function file for the set feature image problem.
Sorry for bundling that one in with the rest – but it was all happening at once.
And with the new plugin update everything seems to be ok with adding events in the backend. I like the changes you guys made to editing existing events.Update – I saw there was an update for the plugins so I have updated them.
All the events have shown up again in the back end and my only remaining problem is the set featured image not showing any images from the media library. When I try to upload an image through the screen it gives me an error – An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.
But I can upload through media but can’t select it through add event > set featured image.
