TonyParticipant
Ah okay looks like I didn’t reply when I actually thought I had.
This problem actually started showing itself last Friday. What I can’t remember is if it was from upgrading or not. At any rate I’m seeing the error and not able to view any of the links. We’re getting the error on the root /events page.
TonyParticipantBarry did you get my reply to this forum post because I don’t see it posting or is there a wait time for the admin to view it before it gets posted? If so then ignore this comment.
TonyParticipant@Dale did you find a work around for that issue with the conflict between Community Events and WordPress SEO?
TonyParticipant@jonah, instead of using page.php could we not just assign a new page template in the events settings and have that be used for community page or is does it exclusively use page.php. Could I use something like, page-events.php?
TonyParticipantTo keep me from running into errors, how would I do this if the plugin was deactivated, what it sounds as though is I should create a custom page template specifically for the events calendar and then place this logic in it then assign that page template to the events plugin in the settings.
Am I correct in my thinking on this?
TonyParticipantOkay I finally figured out what was giving me the problem with the paragraph tags being placed in there. I was using Frontend Membership by NetChillies plugin (cost $45) and is what is breaking the my events. The other bugs were fixed but when this plugin is activated it’s broken. That’s not your problem, but if anyone is reading this stay away from that plugin. It doesn’t play well with this plugin.:(
TonyParticipantReplied to your email. That fixed most of the issues. Although now subscribers if they have access to the backend can delete event categories. As long as we can keep that off the menu that would be great.
TonyParticipantJonah I’m sorry I did not see this message until today. I must not have been notified via email (can you have the notify checkbox selected by default?). I’m developing on my localhost so it’s tough for you to see my site. What I can do is send you a screencast of what’s happening here so you can see for yourself if re-installing the plugin does not work.
Yes that is the full error message I’m seeing. Just that. I can also send screenshots to you too. Whatever you need from me let me know and I’ll do my best to get you want you need to track this bug down.
My Marketing Officer is getting antsy with having this feature rolled out.
TonyParticipantDang I wish I could edit posts. Jonah in answer to your questions…
1) I know they need to be logged in to their own account to see it. I created a “subscriber” account to test on and they are not showing up.2) the reason you’re not able to pull the site up is because the full url link I sent you was on my localhost.
What I can do is create a screencast showing you all the steps to replicate it and then email you the screencast.
TonyParticipantSure no problem. The code where it’s breaking is here: http://pastie.org/4161640
TonyParticipantI have seen that but I’m not able to do a date range. I can only do a start date but not an end date. After filtering, if I click on a column to sort then I lose the filter.
TonyParticipantLet’s try this again. the did not show up because it created the actual paragraph.
jQuery( “thead th” ).each(function(i){
Take out the spaces.
TonyParticipantLooks like I’m getting an error here:
syntax error
[Break On This Error]
jQuery( “thead th” ).each(function(i){
It’s on (line 238, col 39) of http://corpsite.dev/events/community/list/TonyParticipantAwesome! Thank you Jonah. Really appreciate the help there. I was a bit worried what would happen if I launched this feature on our website. We already have over 740 events occurring and adding a community feature with recurring events would be tough to manage.
As is, not having a feature to sift through the events in the admin using a calender is making a pain to go through all the events. If you had a calendar in the backend where I could do a search on events between a date range would make life SO MUCH easier. 🙂
TonyParticipantAh okay. I’ll have to look into those links more.
