Hello,
On all of my events, Google console is throwing the error:
You have included the Google Maps JavaScript API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.I have disabled all of my plugins, one by one, and the issue is with two of you products; Events Calendar and Pro. If I disable Pro, the error is gone.
I can only add the Google Maps API in one location (Events/Settings/APIs/Google Maps API), so there is nothing I can do about the error.
Of course, if I remove the Google Maps API key, my events no longer have maps, and now my error states:
Google Maps JavaScript API warning: NoApiKeysI came across two other posts with the same issue, but they are set to private!
September 7, 2018 at 9:14 pm #1616717CliffMemberHi, Rich. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Please provide a link to where you are experiencing this console error. Additionally, please share your System Information in a Private Reply.
That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

September 10, 2018 at 2:10 pm #1617979CliffMemberWe haven’t received reports of The Events Calendar + Events Calendar PRO both loading the Google Maps API (i.e. causing the “multiple times” console error).
Please try TEC + PRO + Twenty Seventeen theme and see if the error is still happening. If it’s not, then your theme is including the Google Maps API on our Events pages. If that’s the confirmed issue, please look into your theme’s settings.
September 11, 2018 at 8:09 am #1618479Rich BerardiParticipantGood morning Cliff,
I have:
duplicated our live site
changed the theme to 2017
deactivated all plugins except TEC and TEC pro
our google maps api key is in events/settings/APIsat this point there is nowhere else the API could be, and I am still getting the error.
if I deactivate TEC pro, the error goes away.
here is one of our events, with only these two plugins active – TEC and TEC pro. (I will leave this testing site in this mangled state until I hear back from you)

September 11, 2018 at 8:24 pm #1619143CliffMemberThanks for your efforts, Rich. And thanks for helping, Mathew. My apologies for not being aware of this known bug. I see it’s slotted for fixing in an upcoming release (maybe 1-2 months if all goes to schedule).
Please try the code snippet from that reply you linked to: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/multiple-google-maps-javascript-api/#dl_post-1601552
I marked this thread as Pending Fix, which means it should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.
October 4, 2018 at 6:00 am #1637212VictorKeymasterHi There!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, including a fix for this issue 🙂
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-30-september-2018/
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.
As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.
Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.
Best,
