Hi there,
i use the this-week-widget on my german website, the widget offers the dates in a short version like:
Mo 25th or So 31st
How can i change/translate this to a german kind of view like
Mo 25. or So 31.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks for your support
ThomasJuly 29, 2016 at 2:10 am #1145463Geoff B.MemberGood morning Thomas and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The good news is that the date display is completely customizable. At least to the extent of the different WordPress date formats that is.
You can read more about date formats here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_TimeYou will find the setting for this under Events -> Settings -> Display
In your specific case, it looks like you’ll simply need to remove the “S” from the format.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

Thank you for writing back and for the screenshot.
You are right, your settings under Events -> Settings -> Display look fine.
This could mean a couple of things:
- Your WordPress date settings under Settings > General are overriding our plugin’s settings. Would you mind sending me a screenshot of that page
- Your WordPress theme date settings (probably hardcoded) are overriding our plugin’s settings
Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
- Could you also please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Best regards and hang in there as we sort this through,
Geoff B.
