What to choose when both ticket sales and booking of session slots is required?

Hi!
I need help.

We have Events Calendar Pro on our WordPress site.
Now we need to sell tickets (also recurring events) – what will work then? (Have been reading here that Event Tickets Plus doesn’t support recurring events?)

We also need a plugin that can handle time scheduling – i.e to book slots of classes/sessions in for example an event. Let’s say we host a Training Event – the users should then be able to buy a ticket for this event, but also book their preferred training classes.

Is this possible? Is there any plugins that can do this?

Hi Jorid,

Thanks for reaching out! What you read is correct – recurring events do not currently have much support for tickets. You can add tickets to a series, but note that these will display the first date in the series, no matter which date (instance) the user tries to add the ticket from. We are working on building out support for recurring tickets in the future, but unfortunately I don’t have a timeline as to when this will be released. Sorry for the bad news!

With Event Tickets Plus, you can create different tickets on the training class (event) for each of the time slots you want to sell. Alternatively, you could also create custom fields on tickets to allow users to select from available time slots (such as from a select box), but there would not be any validation using this method (such as limiting the number of tickets available for each time selection).

I’m sorry I don’t have some better answers for you here, but I hope this helps clarify how Event Tickets Plus works! I would also recommend taking a look at the following articles, which have some good details on how ET+ features work:
