    I have run all updates and the visual editor has stopped working. We have been using events calendar for some time and never had a conflict with either plugins or the theme before.

    If you click on the visual editor it does not switch and inserts code. Having this problem with both existing events and when trying to make a new event. Below is the code it inserts when attempting to switch to the visual editor to make a new event.

    So sorry to hear about the glitch. Our last round of updates may be conflicting with your theme. please follow these troubleshooting steps to see if we can trace that conflict down.

    Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).

    If there’s nothing obvious (such as a console error or WP_DEBUG message) pointing you to what might be the problem, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

    You might find your plugin conflict quickly by using Plugin Detective https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/.

    We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/). 

    If you are unable to do so, please install the Health Check plugin so that you can effectively disable all plugins without website visitors noticing any changes. See https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/#troubleshooting for how to do this.

    Please share or reshare in your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ as well after your tests so that we can better diagnose the issues you are having. 

    Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.

    Also, noted that events do not show up on mobile.

    The problem does not exist in a staging site. The visual editor works just fine in a non-secure staging site. Could that be the problem?

    Hi Nathaniel

    It shouldn’t matter. On staging, did you drop down to only using a default theme, like Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and only The Events Calendar related plugins?

    The mobile events display issue is resolved when switching to the TwentySeventeen theme. The visual editor for events does not exist in the staging site for the Enfold theme in the staging site. It does however exist in the regular secure site.

    So sorry for the delay. I’ve been out ill for a week.

    Can you manually share your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ from the staging site?

    Did you see the event editor staging when all other plugins/themes were disabled?

    What differences do you see in plugins/themes that are not active on the live site vs staging?
