I am having a problem with our website in which the user is receiving two notifications after purchasing the tickets. The orders show unique numbers, but they are getting confused. I attach the order notes and also the list of attendees that shows the name of the person twice.
I have the automatically complete orders function but this has been in place since the beginning and it’s only now we are getting this problem.
I would really appreciate your help.

    Hi Ana,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

In other words, are duplicate attendees being created, or are customers just receiving an email for each order that they create?

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jaime,
Thank you for the quick response. I’ve clicked on the share button.
Two notifications are created, but only one booking. If you go to COURSES, and into the Ready Steady Screenprint! With Adam Green on the 9th of April, then into ATTENDEES, you will see there are two bookings, but they’ve been issued two security numbers.
    Many thanks, Ana

    Hi Ana,

I am seeing this when I try to view your system information:

Can you try copying and pasting your system information from Events < Help into a private reply here?

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Ana,

Thanks for getting that information to me.  It looks like your Events Slug and Single Event Slug are the same thing.  Can you try changing one of them, perhaps having the plural version for the Events Slug and singular version for the Single Event Slug.

You can do this by going to Events Settings < General and Save Changes.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    • Make a backup of your database
    • Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Also, please make sure that you are using the most recent versions of our plugins before running through this testing.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
