We have brought the Events Calendar Pro but we are unable to add it to our website. Our website was designed by a web developer who added The Events Calender. How do we upgrade to the Pro version?

We have just purchased Pro and recieved the license key. We are wondering how to install it to the website?

I am concerned that the web developer has created an account which is different to the one we have used to purchase the Pro version.

    Hi there

The Events Calendar users don’t have to create an account with us as it is a free plugin.

Along with your license, you received a link to download your plugin. If not, you can get there by going to My Account » Downloads on our site. When you download the plugin, it will be a .zip file. From there, go to Plugins » Add New. Then select “Upload” and upload the zip file.

Your license should be automatically applied, but you can check this at Events » Settings » Licenses.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you for replying so quickly.

I have followed your instructions and the Plugin is now installed onto our website which is great. However I have tested it by creating a new event and now the Events Calendar part of our events is not working. Under the tab which says Events Calendar it is blank and there are no options to pick the date. Can you please let me know how to fix this issue?

    Thanks,

    Ian Mowbray-Williams

    Hi Ian

Do you mean that http://undiscoveredcotswolds.com/events/ doesn’t display for you? I am able to see the events calendar here.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi courtney,

Sorry i wasnt clear. It is in the backend that we are unable to create a new event. Everything works except for the section called Events Calendar which means we cannot give the event a tims and date. The section appears but is blank with no options. Previously we had the option to choose the date time and location for the tour but these options have disappeared. Can you let me know how we can get them back.

    Thanks

    Ian

    Now I follow Ian.

Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?  I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.

We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).

Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.

Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard » Updates).

Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests and be sure to include your System Info.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you so much for all the help. We have managed to get the plug in working properly so we can create the tours with a date and time however we are now unable to put prices into the events. We use a system called WooCommerce and a warning has come up saying ‘Your theme does not declare WooCommerce support’ Does this mean that we need to get a different payment system? Do you know a simple solution to this?

    Thanks,

    Ian Mowbray-Williams

    Hi Ian

We currently support WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads to process payments with Event Tickets Plus. Read more about each option’s features and payment gateways.

Does that message occur using Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/ theme? It sounds like a conflict to check with your theme developers about.

The event price might be hidden. It automatically disappears when Event Tickets Plus is installed. However, the cost of the ticket should still be displayed on the front and back end both of your site. Is that what you are seeing?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics.
