upgrade from free to pro – what? How?

I installed free and then saw what I wanted outlined in the short intro video (repeating events) and decided to upgrade. Which I did.
I’m not seeing how to get it into WP.

Thanks for upgrading to Events Calendar Pro!

First, you will need to download and install the plugin. This article has instructions on how to do this.

Next, you will need to input your license key so that you can update Pro automatically. This article has instructions on getting your key and adding it to your site.

Finally, you can configure the settings and start creating recurring events:

HOW DO I READ THE DETAILS?

Yes, the “insiders” have locked down the entry gate. All I need are a few secret passwords, handshakes and perhaps a wink? What???

Seriously, I was trying to read some of the posts on this page:

All I see is one line with an ellipsis where I wish there was a or something! ?? I forget which one I was trying to get to but knowing how to access ANY one would be a great step forward. I feel like the early explorers must have felt — I see people with spears and water and fresh food. How do I get the food and water without getting the pointy-end of the spears? It must have been really intense, those first meetings, but I digress.

My question: How can I read a post?
